The maritime industry is built not only around vessels, but also around the people who support them.

During Sails 2026 in Szczecin, each crew is supported by a liaison officer – a volunteer who assists the vessel from mooring to departure.

This year, our colleague Karolina Jermak took on this role, supporting Baltic Beauty, Freedom and Joanna Saturna throughout the event.

For us, being part of the maritime community goes beyond our daily operations. It also means getting involved in initiatives that bring vessels, crews and people together.

A different role, but the same connection to the sea. ⚓

There is a different perspective from the water.

A vessel at sea is part of a much larger network connecting ports, industries and markets across Europe.

Every nautical mile represents a link between one place and another, with maritime transport playing a key role in keeping goods moving across borders and supporting supply chains.

What does a typical day at sea look like? ⚓

There is no single answer.

A day on board can involve navigation, routine checks, maintenance, communication and preparing her for the next port call. At the same time, the crew has to stay ready to respond when conditions change.

It is this combination of familiar routines and situations that require quick thinking that makes life at sea so unique.

Another month of the UNIACTIVE Challenge 2026 is behind us, and the momentum keeps growing! 💪

July brought another impressive set of results from our participants:

🚶 Step Challenge
👣 7,174,073 steps completed in July
👣 13,531,255 steps completed in total

🚴 Cycling Challenge
🚲 4282,87 km covered in July
🚲 7121.03 km covered in total

A special congratulations go to Rafał, who has already reached the milestone of 1,000,000 steps, and to Karolina, who has completed an impressive 2,000 km on the bike. An outstanding achievement with one month of the challenge still to go!

🚢 A proud moment in Szczecin!

This weekend, Unibaltic Agency had the honour of acting as the local port agent for our long-standing client, Stema Group, during MV SANDNES' maiden call at the Port of Szczecin.

The vessel delivered aggregates for nearby road infrastructure projects, contributing to investments that will support the region's continued development.

We are grateful for the trust that Stema Group has placed in us over the years. Long-term partnerships are built on reliability, commitment and teamwork, and we are proud to play our part in projects that keep supply chains moving and infrastructure growing.

A big thank you to Cargo – Port Szczecin Sp. Z o.o. for the excellent cooperation during this first port call.
