We arrived in Puerto Rico Friday morning having sailed 4500 nautical miles in 48 days. We stopped at 5 ports along the way. Amazing Grace completed the journey with her usual grace and style overcoming some tough seas. We are grateful to arrive safely having experienced the beauty and granduer of the sea and starry sky for so many days and nights. Here we are arriving in Puerto Rico.

Stopped for fuel and provisions in Montego Bay, Jamaica after a 5 day crossing of the Caribbean in average of 20-25 knots of wind and 10-15' seas. It was such a great respite at the Yacht Club where they treated us so well with customs assistance, a pool, a restaurant and a great place to rest for 36 hours.

Transiting the Panama Canal on December 23. We spent Christmas with cruisers at Shelter Bay by Colon on the Caribbean side of Panama. It was fun and exciting and we learned a lot from our great Panamanian Pilots, Gabriel on the way up to Gatun Lake and Angel on the way down. We felt like they were angels sent to guide and encourage us in the journey and right before Christmas!

As many of you know Amazing Grace is moving to Puerto Rico, a 4000 mile journey. It is both sad and happy for Steve, Janny, Amanda, Peter, Margaret and so many others who shared in the joy and adventure of this wonderful ship. We departed San Diego about 6 days ago arriving in Cabo to a safe haven. There were no winds over 25 and hurricane Sandra did not affect us except for rain. Everyone was expecting a lot of wind the day after we arrived and but even though there was no room in Cabo marina the Port Captain graciously found a place for us to protect us from the expected storm. The Mexican Navy was watching over us and now they all have Amazing Grace t-shirts. Many of you have been with us in Cabo and can picture us being here. The sale went through rather quickly and we have a crew of two Puerto Ricans who will be in captaining the ship and another man who will be in charge of taking care of her. Andrew and Anthony are on the delivery crew as well and as usual we are having a truly amazing adventure on so many levels. Please feel free to share this post.
