Another beautiful day on the road! 🚗🍂



This morning we left Bucharest and headed towards Sinaia, with two lovely guests on board.
And what a beautiful autumn day they picked for their trip!

Clear blue skies, golden colours, beautiful scenery and, at the end of the road, one of Romania’s most spectacular castles — Peleș Castle.

I really couldn’t have asked for better guests or better weather.

This is one of the things I love about what I do — every trip is a little different, every guest brings a new story, and sometimes the journey is just as enjoyable as the destination.

Good company, a beautiful road and a little Romanian sunshine. What more could you ask for? ❤️🇷🇴

A day trip from Bucharest to Sinaia & Bran 🇷🇴

Today I had the pleasure of driving two guests from Bucharest to Sinaia and Bran.

We started with the beautiful Peleș Castle, surrounded by the Carpathian Mountains, and then continued towards Bran.

But there is more to Bran than just the famous castle.

If you take the time to look around, you can discover traditional houses, old wooden details, small local landmarks and quieter corners that are easy to miss when you simply follow the usual tourist route.

That’s one of the things I enjoy most about driving around Romania, not just getting from one attraction to another, but showing my guests a little more of the places we visit.
Sometimes, the most interesting things are just a few minutes away from the main tourist spots. 🙂

Three hours from Bucharest stands Hurezi Monastery, founded by Constantin Brâncoveanu and the largest Brâncovenesc monastic complex in the country — a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993.

A few kilometres away, in the workshops of Olari, potters still shape Horezu ceramics on the wheel — also recognised by UNESCO. You can watch them work and take home a hand-painted Hurez rooster.

And the road can go further:

The Brâncuși Ensemble: the Endless Column, the Gate of the Kiss, the Table of Silence and the Alley of Chairs. Photos don't do them justice — you have to stand next to them.

⛰️ Tismana Monastery (+40 min from Târgu Jiu)
The oldest monastery in Wallachia, built by Saint Nicodim on a rock above a waterfall. That place quiets anyone down.
