We have officially arrived in Sibiu, our home for the next 3 days!

We kicked off this leg of the tour at the spectacular ASTRA Open-Air Museum—one of Europe’s largest and most breathtaking open-air museums, showcasing centuries of traditional Romanian village museum.

Our American travelers got a firsthand look at the soul of Romania, and they are absolutely captivated!

Here are the highlights from an unforgettable day:

Marveling at the towering wooden churches and cozy, thatch-roofed cottages hidden in the woods.

Admiring the incredible craftsmanship of vibrant blue houses and beautifully hand-painted dowry chests.

Getting playful with traditional winter masks and checking out the famous, brightly colored wooden crosses.

Next , we are headed into the heart of Sibiu's historic Old Town to explore its cobblestone squares and famous "watching eyes" roofs.

Today, our group explored the citadel of Sighișoara, one of Europe’s last inhabited medieval fortresses.

Walking through these ancient gates feels like stepping onto a living movie set, and we were charmed the timeless history and fairy-tale views around every corner.

Here is some of what we saw:

Looking up at the iconic Clock Tower stretching into the blue sky.

Wandering the charming cobblestone streets, passing by bright yellow houses and cozy terrace cafes.

Feeling like medieval travelers while walking under the historic stone arches and defensive walls beside the sturdy Tinsmiths' Tower (Turnul Cositorarilor).

Ending our incredible day with a traditional music festival under the open sky!

Sighișoara is full of romance, living legends, and pure Transylvanian charm.

Next stop on Romania tour: From Royal Castles to Medieval Festivals!

Our Romanian journey continues, and today felt like stepping straight into a fairy tale.

We left the city behind to explore the breathtaking Peleș Castle in Sinaia.

The intricate wood carvings, the stunning stained glass, and the secret-like wooden spiral staircase inside make you feel like royalty just standing there.

Next, we traveled to the legendary town of Sighișoara, one of Europe’s best-preserved medieval citadels:
