🕋 Before you travel for Umrah, prepare more than just your suitcase.

We spend so much time preparing our flights, hotels, transport and what to pack — but there is another kind of preparation that matters even more.

🤍 Set your intention
Ask yourself why you are going and what you hope to take back with you. Is it simply a journey, or are you going seeking Allah’s forgiveness, mercy and closeness?

🤲 Make Tawbah
Don’t wait until you reach Makkah to turn back to Allah. Leave home with sincere repentance and a genuine intention to improve.

🕊️ Clean your heart
Try to let go of grudges, jealousy and resentment. Forgive where you can, ask forgiveness where needed, and don’t carry unnecessary bitterness with you.

📖 Learn your Umrah
Understand the meaning behind Ihram, Tawaf, Sa'i and the duas you will be making. When you understand what you are doing, the rituals can feel much more meaningful.

📵 Reduce distractions
Before you leave, try to step back from unnecessary social media, notifications and worldly stress. Give yourself space to be present.

🤍 Prepare for patience
Makkah can be busy and physically demanding. You may face crowds, waiting and tiredness. Start practicing patience before you even leave home.

🌙 Set heart-based goals
Don’t only think about how many Tawafs you will complete or how many pages of Qur’an you will read.

Ask yourself:
Will I make sincere dua?
Will I forgive someone?
Will I turn to Allah when I feel weak?
Will I return home a better version of myself?

Umrah is not only about what you do in Makkah. It is also about who you become when you return home.

May Allah accept the Umrah of everyone preparing to visit His House, forgive our shortcomings and allow us to return with hearts closer to Him. Ameen. 🤲🏼🕋
