مکہ مکرمہ سے ساڑھے چار کلومیٹر جنوب میں واقع ایک پہاڑ جس کے ایک غار میں حضرت محمد صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم اور حضرت ابو بکر صدیق رَضی اللہُ تعالیٰ عنہُ نے ہجرت مدینہ کے دوران تین دن اور تین راتیں قیام کیا تھا۔ جبل ثور کی بلندی 759 میٹر ہے یعنی یہ پہاڑ جبل نور سے 120 میٹر زیادہ اونچا ہے۔ ثور کی چوٹی کا رقبہ تقریباً 30 مربع میٹر ہے۔ غار ثور جس میں آپ صلی اللہ علیہ و آلہ وسلم نے حضرت ابو بکر کے ہمراہ تین روز قیام کیا تقریب ایک میٹر چوڑا ہے جبکہ اس کا طول 18 بالشت اور عرض 11 بالشت ہے۔ اس کا چھوٹا دہانہ تقریباً نصف میٹر کھلا ہے جبکہ غار میں سیدھے کھڑے ہوں تو سر چھت سے لگتا ہے۔
