🚝What’s in my bag - Eurostar Edition🎒
My honest review after trying the mini weekender is that it has so many compartments it feels like the equivalent of a dress with pockets - genius😝🤣 that being said it’s slightly too big for a personal item on a flight so I’ll stick to using it on train/bus/weekend car trips where I don’t have like size restrictions. The bag is the Soundbox cabin bag and I’ve had it for years 🤣love their funky colours

p.s it is not lost on my that Paris is just a 2 hr train ride from England. Sometimes you don’t appreciate what’s on your doorstep and we should be more grateful

My honest reviews of everything* I ate in London in May (*and filmed lol sometimes a gal is too hungry for alla that) 🍊

💐Click here: https://travelling-tuesdays.kit.com/1bf16510be for my 5 day itinerary for Paris that can be done over a long weekend or from Monday to Friday. It includes a mix of famous and underrated sites, a list of hotels with an Eiffel Tower view, where to shop and what to eat. Enjoy✨(if you’re on my mailing list, I’ve sent it to you already)

🥲why ppl miss these places👇🏾

🎭Palais Garnier - people think you need to see an opera show to enter the building, when for a small fee you can enter during the day and explore the public areas. I even got a peak into the auditorium - they run guided tours!

🥂Le Train Bleu - the most beautiful restaurant hidden in plain sight, just above the concourse in Gare de Lyon. Book a week in advance though!

🖼️Petit Palais - definitely one of the more underrated museums in Paris yet it’s free entry and the garden has the cutest cafe

📰National Archives/ Carnavalet Musem - sounds a bit boring but it’s free entry and you learn quite a bit about the history of Paris. Easy to pass by when you’re in the cool neighbourhood of Le Marais

Napoleon Apartments - these are in the Louvre but on the complete opposite side from the more popular Mona Lisa, loads of people don’t bother to do the long walk to the other arm of the museum (it’s quite big to be fair)

🙏🏾Notre Dame - after the devastating fire, the Church is now restored (still in the process) and so mass and services are taking place and you can enter after years of it being closed :) now you know

Finally tried the viral French sorbet stuffed into fruit! Definitely the best sorbet I’ve ever tried but it has to be a special treat for the price point. Save for your trip to Paris or there’s a pop up at The Chancery Rosewood in London this summer

☀️As a south london local, this is my fave place to hang during a summer heatwave. Every swim session has a limit on ticket numbers so unlike our popular beaches, I know I’m going to have some space to chill😅 have you ever thought of a lido vs the beach?

📍Tooting Bec Lido, it costs £10 for an adult and book days ahead during a heatwave/holidays
- pack well!
✨Sunscreen
✨towel
✨swimsuit

✨snacks - they have a cafe onsite and an ice cream van in the summer - yay - but there’s also a local 10 mins walk away
✨a padlock for the lockers

Other lidos in London include: Parliament Hill Fields Lido, Brockwell Lido, London Fields Lido, Serpentine Lido and Charlton Lido
