Coming winters material for upgrades starts to arrive, here are new switchboards with frequency control for ballastpumps and engine room fans.

Frequency controlled ballastpumps give us possibility to have them direct controlled by ballast water treatment plant to ensure smooth and effective operation.

For the engine room fans it is for reducing noice on deck.

Small things but still important. 2 facilities with cracked loose tiles on floor. As expected there was water below the cement.

Removing cement, chip and paint with epoxy, insulation for comfort, new cement and linoleum carpet on top, for hygiene and easy maintenance.

We also removed the cutting boards that ere mounted under the toilets and adjusted floor so all fitted without distances :-)

Its not perfect, but its cleaner and will not damage the steel under anymore.

Last year we overhauled and coated the Aftpeak. This year it was time for some Tender Loving Care of Deeptank.

We’re thrilled to be in Sweden aboard our new floating classroom, MV Polar Athena, with our partners from Innu Nation and the Canadian Museum of Nature , and our good friend Ambassador Rob Sinclair, from the Embassy of Canada to Sweden. A unique platform for collaboration and capacity building, this multi-purpose research vessel will be sailing up the Labrador coast this summer during the 4th annual Innu Nation Uinipeku Expedition. We can’t wait to welcome Innu Nation youth, Elders, Guardians, and community members as we continue our Indigenous-led research partnership!
