We are getting the hang of this: to live in constant change, adapting to pandemics, lockdowns and borders being closed. But now we need a breather before we tackle the coming fall – with all its challenges.

Don´t worry, it is still business as usual during the summer and a team is always at the office, ready to tackle any challenge you throw our way.

Our journey towards a future with more sustainable supply chains is a marathon, not a sprint. The next step for us was updating our company cars to be in line with our goals and to reflect the quality of the service we offer. However small steps we take, we try taking them in the right direction.

And most importantly, we always try to seize the opportunity to just have fun and do over-the-top epic videos 😉

The Consulate General of Sweden in Istanbul has a nice campaign going – called Swedish Design and Quality. They aim to support the Swedish companies’ sustainability efforts by increasing the visibility of their efforts by making cost-free promotional material. The guys at our office in Istanbul gladly accepted and can now proudly show off (some of 😉) InterEast sustainable goals. A cool idea!

Vi är stolta över att kunna meddela att vi inlett ett partnerskap med Ung Företagsamhet i Göteborg!

För snart trettio år sedan grundades InterEast med en dröm och vision att göra vår bransch bättre, att skapa en positiv förändring. Vilket är samma drivkraft för de tusentals unga företagare som varje år startar UF-företag i entreprenörsprogrammet Ung Företagsamhet. Det är ett program för gymnasieelever i Sverige där de driver riktiga företag under sina sista år på gymnasiet. Och sedan 2010 arbetar de även på grundskolan.

”Vi har följt Ung Företagsamhets fantastiska arbete under lång tid. På InterEast är vi stolta över att vara en del av den kraft som ger barn och unga vuxna chansen att utveckla livslånga färdigheter i en kreativ och inspirerande miljö”, säger Christopher Busck, Head of Brand på InterEast.

One of Liseberg Waterparks largest water tanks took flight at 04:54 Thursday morning. InterEast Sweden had the pleasure of delivering two of them and was keen on seeing the final step being executed. If you can come up with something more majestic than standing in the Gothenburg rain, on an early Thursday morning, watching a three-ton box fly over our heads, please let us know.

Thanks EnviroProcess for the trust placed in InterEast to handle this shipment. Shoutout to Westdjik Sweden for a well-executed transport. And of course to NCC and H. A Bygg and the site crew for showing us how to safely operate a construction site.

After another strange year,
we are closing this one out with a semi-big cheer.
Cause things could be brighter,
as we try to dodge the virus like a bullfighter.
Still, we can look in the rear-view mirror with smiles,
since this year's shipments travelled record-breaking miles.
And even though we are not fully green,
steps have been taken towards a more sustainable scene.
This year our portal got her new name,
say hi to Elise – a dame rewriting the logistics game.
In 2022 you will see how she will revolutionize your day,
as well as every road, harbour and airway.
´Till then we wish you a happy Christmas,
And as a reminder: during the holidays we are still open for business.

Go (golang) is the open-source programming language that our portal Elise is based on. The step to hosting the group Go West´s meet up-event was a natural one. It is a great feeling filling (well, not to the brim considering the pandemic) a room full of enthusiastic Go-programmers with the common goal to push forward this programming language. That is the future.

As the host, we got to share our vision and plans for progressing ahead. As well as presenting our findings and experience building the platform in Go.

Efter närmare två år har vi äntligen kunnat välkomna vänner från kontoren i Rumänien, Turkiet och Polen till oss i Göteborg. Efter två intensiva dagar, intressanta diskussioner och mängder med inspiration är vi mer än redo att möta 2022 som ett InterEast 😀
