As we spend so much time around airports and terminals, we notice when something genuinely stands out. Recently, the Jetex iGA Terminal in Istanbul caught our attention.

At one of the world’s busiest airports, this terminal offers travellers dedicated check-in and security, elegant lounges, fine dining, private suites and direct luxury transfers to their aircraft - an alternative to crowded terminals, long queues and the usual airport rush.

Perhaps most interesting is its unique hybrid concept, allowing commercial airline travellers to enjoy the same premium and personalised terminal experience typically reserved for private jet passengers.

As airports fill up for major events like the FIFA World Cup, finding the aircraft is often the easy part.

Getting it into the destination airport is the real challenge.

Recently, one of our clients was travelling to a major international event when all viable slot options disappeared. With airports at capacity and operators competing for the same limited access, the obvious answer was “not possible.”

Our team wasn’t ready to accept that.

Thanks to an outstanding effort from our colleague Marton Kovacs, we managed to open up a private airstrip and get our clients where they needed to be.

The difference often lies in having a team willing to keep searching for a solution.

As we head into a busy summer of global events, early planning matters - but so does having the right people in your corner when plans need to change.
