How do you rate this knife from 1-10?
This one of a kind knife is looking for a new home.
The handle is made of stained oak, and the blade is as usual stainless supersteel Magnacut. Ground to a fine tapered point to allow for carving tight curves.
Other knife makers make a very thin knife with small bevels and call them "turning sloyds". It makes sense, since it is very difficult to make a tapered blade by hand. But that means their knives are only good for carving curves and are really difficult to sharpen.
This tapered design is much better! It can be used like any other sloyd knife but with the added benefit of easily carving tiny curves with the tip of the blade.
Let me know if any of this doesn't make any sense and I'll try to explain.
