🏎️ The Formula 1 Singapore Airlines Singapore Grand Prix 2026 will be held from 9-11 Oct 2026 around Marina Centre and Padang area. 🏁
 
🚧 To prepare for the event, road closures will start from 12am on 7 Oct 2026. All roads will be fully accessible from 5.30am on 13 Oct 2026.
 
Do plan your journeys in advance and use public transport if you are heading to the races or visiting the area during this period. 🚶🚆🚌
 
The Gates are within walking distance from these MRT stations:
• Gate 1 - Nicoll Highway
• Gate 2 – Promenade
• Gate 3A, 3B, 7 - City Hall, Esplanade
• Gate 4, 5, 6 - Raffles Place
• Gate 8 – Bayfront
 
⌚ Operating hours of train services (except the Changi Airport service) and selected bus services connecting from MRT stations will also be extended on event days.

From 3 Sep 2026, the Heavy Vehicles Zero Emission Scheme (HVZES) incentive quantum for lighter zero-tailpipe emission heavy vehicles will be reduced from $40,000 to $15,000. 📉

There will be no change to the incentive for zero-tailpipe emission heavy vehicles with Maximum Laden Weight (MLW) of >7,000kg as the cost differential with their internal combustion engine (ICE) equivalents remains significant.

Zero-tailpipe emission heavy vehicles registered using COEs obtained before the first Sep 2026 bidding exercise will continue to receive the $40,000 incentive regardless of their MLW.

Last Saturday, we invited 70 of our Friends of Land Transport ( ) members for an exclusive sharing session with our engineers and planners.

Our friends got an inside look at what goes into every bus journey — from planning bus services and routes to operations and contracting, as well as the real-world challenges and trade-offs involved, including manpower constraints and meeting commuters’ demands.

A bus journey may seem simple, but the system behind it is anything but complex. Behind every journey is a team of people working hard to keep our buses moving and keep your world moving! 🌟

⚠️ LTA has been closely monitoring traffic conditions in the Orchard area. Traffic speeds in the area have remained persistently below optimal levels since October 2025.

Therefore, we will resume ERP charging in the area from 7 September 2026, between 11am and 7pm on weekdays.

ℹ️ Rates at all other gantries remain unchanged. More information can be found in the visual.

We have also observed that traffic speeds at the following two locations have remained below optimal.
🚘Orchard on Saturdays
🚙CTE(AYE) Before Braddell Road stretches till late mornings on weekdays

Further adjustments may be considered if congestion persists.
