What does Nepal feel like when you slow it right down?

Ten days across Kathmandu, Pokhara and Chitwan with yoga and meditation woven through every day from Day 2 onward.

Begin in Kathmandu with Sound Healing at Avata Wellness Center and a Shirodhara treatment after evening yoga. Shape clay beside local artisans in Bhaktapur then watch dusk settle over the Himalayas from Dhulikhel. Fly to Pokhara and rise early at Sarangkot as first light touches the Annapurna range. Drift across Phewa Lake by boat. Head into Chitwan National Park for jeep and boat safaris, a Tharu village visit and an evening of Tharu dance. Return to Kathmandu for a full body Ayurvedic oil massage and a farewell dinner at Bricks Café.

What if the best part of Nepal is the path between the temples?

Most Kathmandu trips stay inside the valley's busiest squares. This one walks out of them. Begin at Swayambhunath and Pashupatinath and the Newari courtyards of Patan. Then follow village trails from Sanga to Panauti for a home cooked dinner and a night with a local family at a community homestay.

Visit the revered monastery of Namo Buddha and walk on through quiet woodland to Dhulikhel. Hike forest ridges to Nagarkot where the Himalayas can glow gold at sunset on clear days. End in medieval Bhaktapur among carved temples and working craft workshops.

Seven days with an English speaking trekking guide and porter support, at a pace that lets the valley sink in.

Ever stood somewhere the horizon never seems to end?

Mongolia is one of the least densely populated countries on earth and you feel it the moment you leave the city. Grasslands run to the edge of the sky. White gers dot the hills. Nomadic families still live by traditions passed down for generations and they welcome you in.

Over eight days you move from the monasteries and royal palace of Ulaanbaatar to the golden dunes of Elsen Tasarkhai and ride a camel across Mongolia's Mini Gobi. Walk among the white stupas of Erdene Zuu in Karakorum, the ancient capital of the Mongol Empire. Step inside a family ger in Terelj National Park and ride on horseback past granite rock formations. Then close the journey with throat singing and morin khuur music in Ulaanbaatar.
