Keeping someone safe can be as simple as speaking up. ๐Ÿฅฐ

One evening at Sengkang MRT Station, an alert commuter noticed a man closely tailing a young lady up an escalator. Holding his phone flat against his chest and angling it upwards, he appeared to be secretly filming under her skirt. ๐Ÿšจ The commuter flagged this to a Security Officer, who informed Assistant Station Manager Kenny Tan.

Kenny swiftly detained the man, separated him from the lady and informed his colleague to call the Police. ๐Ÿ‘ฎ๐Ÿป โ€œWe shouldnโ€™t take these things lightly. Itโ€™s better to play safe and make sure her modesty wasnโ€™t taken advantage of,โ€ shared Kenny.

The suspect was subsequently arrested by the Police. ๐Ÿš” For his vigilance and decisive actions, Kenny was honoured with the SaferSG Partner (Individual) Award at the Public Transport Security Command (TransCom) Community Roadshow today. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

At the SBS Transit booth, we also showcased some of our innovativeโ€‹ technologies that help enhance safety and security, including MR-2, a multi-role robot that autonomously patrols Punggol Coast MRT Station, detecting security concerns such as unattended bags and loitering. ๐Ÿค–โœจ

So if something doesnโ€™t look right during your journey, don't hesitate to speak up. ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Your actions could help keep our public transport network safer for everyone! โค๏ธ

Team SBS Transit came together once again to walk, climb and give back at Community Chest Singaporeโ€™s annual Heartstrings Walk and Vertical Marathon. ๐Ÿ’™

Two teams comprising eight SBS Transit colleagues pushed their limits early in the morning for the Vertical Marathon, conquering 57 storeys at Marina Bay Sands SkyPark in a test of endurance, determination and team spirit. ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ

As the sun set later in the day๐ŸŒ‡, around 30 staff, together with their family members and friends, took part in the Heartstrings Walk, enjoying Singaporeโ€™s stunning skyline while supporting a meaningful cause. ๐Ÿšถโ€โ™€๏ธ

We were also honoured to receive the Community Chest Gold Partner Award in recognition of our continued commitment to supporting communities across Singapore! Every dollar donated helps make a real difference. ๐Ÿ™Œ

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who participated, donated and cheered us on. Every step taken and every contribution reflects our shared commitment to giving back and uplifting those in need! โค๏ธ

A lost phone may seem like a small matter. But to its owner, it can mean losing access to messages, memories, important contacts and a little piece of everyday life. ๐Ÿ˜ฅ

So when Bus Captain Devakumar A/L Samasibam found a phone left behind on his bus, his first thought was the passenger who was probably anxiously looking for it.๐Ÿ“ฑ

He knew how he would feel if he were in their shoes. So, he did more than simply hand the phone in. He made sure the passenger was kept updated, offered reassurance and followed through on the recovery process, helping the phone find its way home in just four hours. ๐Ÿฅฐ

โ€œIt is my duty to make sure my passengers are well taken care of on my bus,โ€ said Devakumar. โ€œI know how important a phone can be and I believe we should help each other whenever we can.โ€ ๐Ÿซฑ๐Ÿผโ€๐Ÿซฒ๐Ÿพ

For Devakumar, it was simply the right thing to do. But for the passenger, his kindness made the stressful day a little better. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿผ

We are proud of Devakumar for bringing our CARES culture to life through his kindness, empathy and commitment to doing the right thing, even when no one is watching. ๐Ÿ’œ

Thank you Stomp for shining a light on this heartwarming act of service. โœจ
