Months delayed. Thousands of tonnes. Two deliveries. And our tug was part of both.

The two final modules for INEOS's 'Project ONE' ethane cracker have now safely arrived at the Port of Antwerp. The first module – weighing 6,920 tonnes and standing 55 metres tall, approximately the weight of the Eiffel Tower's entire steel framework – arrived aboard the Ji Xu Xiang 88 in July, after a journey delayed by several months due to the blockade in the Strait of Hormuz. The second and final module followed on 7 August aboard the Zhe Shan, completing the delivery.

Our FAIRPLAY-23 was part of both operations under the Antwerp Towage umbrella, working alongside MULTRATUG 28 within our established joint venture with Multraship Towage & Salvage. With both modules now at quay, INEOS moves into the final stretch: precision placement onto the foundation – a true millimetre-perfect operation.

Maritime Study Trip on board FAIRPLAY-87 ⚓️

The Maritime Study Trip, organised annually by the Verband Deutscher Reeder (VDR) and the Verband Schiffbau und Meerestechnik (VSM), brings together the personal advisors of Members of the German Bundestag working on transport policy.

This year, FAIRPLAY was proud to be part of the programme, welcoming 50 guests on board FAIRPLAY-87, the newest tug in our fleet, for a harbour tour through the Port of Hamburg ⚓️💙

⚓️ FAIRPLAY-37 - shoalbuster type with 47t bollard pull - successfully delivered 6 floating pipes over 750m in length from Poland to Norway.

FAIRPLAY-73, with 55t bollard pull, provided assistance to FAIRPLAY-37 en route.
