🔴🚩 Thailand Strengthens Maritime Safety! Thai-MECC Joins Hands with Multiple Agencies to Conduct “Passenger Ship Exercise 2025” in Phuket🎗🎗 On 9 July 2025, the Maritime Enforcement Command Center (Thai-MECC), in collaboration with the Ministry of Transport and other relevant public and private sector agencies, organized a national-level drill titled “Passenger Ship Exercise 2025” at the Phuket Deep Sea Port.🎗🎗 The objective of this exercise is to enhance Thailand’s maritime safety standards in accordance with the SOLAS Convention and the standards set by the International Maritime Organization (IMO).🎗🎗 The opening ceremony was presided over by Admiral Phairoj Fueangchan, Secretary-General of Thai-MECC, with senior executives in attendance. The purpose of the drill was reported by Rear Admiral Benjamaporn Wongnakornsawang, Director of Training and Education Bureau, Thai-MECC.🔺️🔺️ Following the ceremony, the delegation boarded the Genting Dream cruise ship to observe the simulated scenarios, including evacuation of passengers and crew using tender boats, rescue operations for passengers unable to board the tender, and firefighting exercises conducted by Phuket Provincial Administrative Organization and HTMS Panyi.🔺️🔺️ The exercise was supported by various agencies, including the Department of Disaster Prevention and Mitigation, Ministry of Public Health, National Institute for Emergency Medicine, Tourism and Sports Authority of Thailand, Royal Thai Police, TOT Public Company Limited, private sector organizations, and charitable foundations.🚩🎗 Thai-MECC Region 3 reaffirmed its commitment to safeguarding maritime security in the Andaman Sea for the sustainable benefit of the Thai people and marine resources.☎️☎️ For emergencies or maritime incidents, contact Thai-MECC Region 3 via the 24-hour hotline at 1465. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼I would like to sincerely thank Khun , the Marine Department of Thailand, and the Royal Thai Navy for kindly inviting me to this event.
