A bowl that’s too low won’t “injure” every dog overnight — but over time, especially for large breeds, seniors, dogs with arthritis, neck/back issues, or recovering from injury, that repeated awkward posture can add extra stress where they don’t need it.

Easy fix:
✅ Try a raised feeder so your dog can eat with a more relaxed neck and straighter back.
A simple rule of thumb: aim for the bowl to sit around lower chest / elbow height (not super high, just enough to reduce hunching).
If your dog has megaesophagus or swallowing issues, follow your vet’s specific setup because height matters a lot there.
