*Eng below*
Nada:
We are going back to real life.
Carlos
No we are going back to fake life.
This wasn’t a trip—it was ten days of living inside the mountains of Kyrgyzstan.
In February, I invited my friend Nada to join a 10-day horse riding expedition. She said yes and came with her husband Carols.
We traveled over 1,000 km through high valleys, lakes, and nomadic lands—on horseback, in yurts, and off-road cars above 3,000 meters.
We milked cows, visited nomadic families, drank kumis, soaked in hot springs, danced with locals, rode across rivers, went days without showers, and crossed wild mountain roads.
Every moment was a “first time” experience, full of real surprise and laughter.
After the journey, we stayed in Karakol for a week, living a quiet mountain life together.
When leaving, Nada said, “We are going back to real life.”
Carlos her husband replied, “No, we are going back to fake life.”
