Our flagship events, the Singapore Yacht Show and the Thailand Yacht Show, became the cornerstones of Asia’s marine calendar, bringing together yacht builders, buyers, brokers and enthusiasts to persuade regional governments of the need to support the nascent yachting industry and the highly important value it brings to their economy. Over ten years of dedicated lobbying, supported by partners and sponsors through the platforms of the Yacht Shows, Verventia successfully persuaded the Thai government to reform its superyacht tax regulations. As a result, it is now legal for foreign-flagged superyachts to charter in Thailand - a breakthrough that opens up unprecedented opportunities across Southeast Asia. Now, Verventia’s superyacht consultancy arm is the official company that charter brokers, captains, managers and owners can appoint to represent them to apply for a Thailand superyacht charter license, manage the legally required paperwork, and pay the (very reasonable) taxes on their behalf.
