How to Maintain Proper Form:

• Lower yourself so that your quads are parallel to the ground.
• Keep a 90° right angle at the hips and knees.
• Keep your back and head to the wall.
• Rest your arms.
• Breathe slow, deep, relaxed breaths.

It's Motivation Monday! I'm taking some fun photos for my online fitness clients. We're all doing "The 14 Day Wall Sit Challenge!"

I love teaching exercises that can be done easily and at home with minimal equipment! This movement strengths the leg muscles: quadraceps, hamstrings and lower legs.

Get out your paper and pencil. Find a wall. Time yourself twice each day. Write down the date and number of seconds that you can hold this "wall sit" position. Then, watch your times and strength increase!

Proper Form: Lower yourself so that your quads are parallel to the ground. Be sure to keep a 90° right angle at the knees. Keep your back and head to the wall. Rest your arms. Remember to breathe. That's it! How long can you go?🥇

If you enjoy nature and exploring the great outdoors, you'll love Sille! ❤️🇹🇷

Sille, historically named Sylata, dates back to 3,500 BC during the Neolithic period. Once an ancient Greek village, Sille's a charming town with a current population around 1,191.

There are several sections of incredible caves to explore. On this day, I'm hiking the section located on the south side of the main road. The views are spectacular! At sunset, the entire cave side gets bathed in golden light!

Sille has a rich history. Saint Paul the Apostle of Jesus took refuge in Sille's caves, fleeing religious persecution in Iconiun, currently Konya.

During her pilgrimage to the Holy Lands, Saint Helen, mother of Constantine the Great, visited Sylata in 327. Here, she commissioned the building of a Greek Orthodox church, which still stands today.

There's a lot to see in Sille. With restaurants, shops, a museum, hiking trails and cats galore, Sille is a great day trip or weekend getaway.

We especially love having çay and Turkish coffee at ÂLÂ CAFE. Great hospitality.☕️🌿

Sille is a thirty minute ride from Konya's city center. Getting here is easy. There's daily, public transportation on bus No. 64. Shuttles also travel here, just less often.

This hike is easy to moderate. Be aware, though. You'll need to wear shoes with grip. The sandy trails are slippery with loose rock. Also, watch out for holes in the ground, especially if children are hiking, too. Take your time and enjoy the scenery.

After 27 years of dreaming to come here someday, I finally made it to Konya, Türkiye! Konya, the home of the legendary Sufi mystic poet, Mevlana Rumi.

Journeying 6056 miles, navigating a detour and many logistics, I'm so grateful to document Konya and pay respects to the beloved Jalāl al-Dīn Muhammad Rūmī.

I first discovered the poetry of Rumi in 1998 with the release of Deepak Chopra 's mystical, new age CD, "A Gift of Love."

Set to beautiful music, I became captivated by the recitation of his devotional, love poems spoken by Madonna and other narrators.

Listening, I said, "Who is this Rumi? How, why and who is he so profoundly in love with? I'd never heard anything quite so moving. As we know, it is God. I was compelled to know more. Thus, honoring Rumi's call, to "Come, come, whoever you are, come", I did.

For both my own personal-spiritual journey and to develop bringing clients on a unique tour with SOAR TOURS, I was determined to gain knowledge of Konya's rich history in order to serve as an outstanding tour guide.

Rumi lived on earth from 1207-1273. As building started in 1274, the Mevlana Museum is of grand scale. Located in the heart of Konya's city center, the museum is open daily. Hours vary by season. Admission is free.

Because there's so much to cover, I'll divide this tour into several posts. First, I'll focus on visiting Rumi's tomb.

Here, you can see:

• The entrances of the main room.

• Rumi's tomb, elaborately adorned.

• "Mesnevî", Rumi's great works of poetry (one book of six volumes). 1278. Finally, my eyes see Rumi's world-remouned poems!

• "Divâni-i Kebîr", Divan-i Shams-i Tabrizi. 1366.

• Chest containing the beard of the prophet Mohammed.

• The museum's spectacular interior.

• Tourists enjoying the museum.

I hope that these photos serve to bring you along on this journey! I look forward to sharing this unbelievable experience with you in Konya!
