Our first stop is the spectacular Saklıkent Gorge, one of the longest and deepest canyons in Turkey. Formed thousands of years ago by flowing mountain waters carving through the Ta**us Mountains, the gorge stretches for around 18 km. During the summer months, the icy river running through the canyon provides a refreshing escape from the heat.
Here you’ll have the chance to walk through the canyon, stepping into the cool flowing water and exploring the dramatic cliffs towering above you. For those looking for extra fun and adventure, there is also the optional Ringo rafting, where you can slide and splash your way down the river.
Visit the Ancient City of TLOS
Next, we visit the remarkable Tlos, one of the oldest and most important cities of the Lycian civilization. Dating back more than 4,000 years, Tlos was a major settlement in ancient Lycia and later inhabited by Romans, Byzantines, and Ottomans.
You’ll explore the impressive ruins, including the famous Tlos Castle, rock tombs carved into the mountainside, an ancient stadium, and breathtaking views over the surrounding countryside. According to mythology, Tlos is also linked to the hero Bellerophon, who rode the winged horse Pegasus.
Lunch at Yaka Park Fish Farm
After a day of exploring, we stop for a relaxing lunch at Yaka Park, a beautiful natural setting famous for its cool spring waters and trout fish farm. Here you can unwind in the shade, enjoy the peaceful surroundings, and taste a delicious freshly prepared meal.
