Kaitlyn is back, with a whole new perspective on space, science and the possibilities of satellite technology 🛰️

A few weeks ago, we introduced you to Kaitlyn Sahatoo and Mission ShakthiSAT, a global initiative bringing together girls from 108 countries to build satellites and gain hands-on experience in space technology. Selected through Soroptimist International of Port of Spain (SIPOS) to represent Trinidad and Tobago, she travelled to India with support from ANSA McAL to take part in the programme's next phase.

During her time there, Kaitlyn got hands-on with the work behind building a satellite, learning about systems-level engineering, exploring how infrared cameras are used for Earth observation, and taking part in designing and building satellites for deployment into space. The mission's larger goal is to send a satellite toward the Moon. Along the way, girls like her gain practical experience and are encouraged to pursue futures in STEM. Kaitlyn also engaged directly with experts in India's space industry, putting her technical learning into practice alongside other delegates.

We're proud to have supported her journey and to contribute to UN Sustainable Development Goal 4, Quality Education, by creating pathways for young people to learn, explore and develop their potential.

Welcome home, Kaitlyn! Swipe to see highlights from her experience in India

Ks are happening almost weekly…. but how many of them light up the night? ✨🏃🏽‍♀️

For four years, ANSA Motors has been lighting up the streets with its annual Glow 5K, bringing people together for an evening of fitness, fun and plenty of colour.

This year’s event was another memorable one, with an incredible turnout and great energy. A big thank you to everyone who came out, laced up and made the night what it was. 💫

Next up: TATIL DATT 5K in November 👟

And we’re closing off our Back-to-School series with our colleagues at ANSA Coatings, who made sure 100 students were ready for the new school year! 🎒📚

For their third Annual Back-to-School Drive, the ANSA Coatings team provided stationery supplies, along with school bags, lunch kits, booklist items and other essentials for 100 primary and secondary school students.

But the team didn’t stop at making sure the students had what they needed for school. They made the day one to remember, with face painting, games and activities that brought plenty of smiles and laughter to students and their families.

What makes the initiative even more meaningful is that it is employee-driven, with ANSA Coatings employees personally contributing and coming together to make the drive possible. Their willingness to give their time and resources shows that stewardship is something our employees live out, both in their work and in how they support others.

With students returning to the classroom yesterday, we wish all students across Trinidad and Tobago a safe, exciting and successful school year ahead! ✏️

A pencil. A notebook. A ruler. Simple items, but important tools for the classroom 📚✏️

In the days leading up to the handover, our team came together to pack stationery bags for 25 students of Eastern Boys’ Government Primary School. The supplies were then handed over to a representative of the school, helping students prepare for the new school year.

There are many things that contribute to a young person’s education and success, but having the right resources to learn is an important place to start. We’re proud to play a part in making those tools more accessible and, in doing so, supporting our young people as they work towards their own success.

25 students. One more community reached. Another investment in our young people and their future 💛

Our Back-to-School impact continues across Trinidad 🎒📚

Through our partnership with the Our Dreams Matter Too Foundation, school supplies and stationery are reaching 720 children across seven communities in South Trinidad; Springvale, Kings Wharf, Broadway, Pakistan (Marabella), Mon Repos, Pleasantville and La Romain.

Behind those numbers are hundreds of young people preparing for another year of learning, and our goal is to help ensure they have some of the essential tools they need to start.

By working with community partners who understand the needs on the ground, we can extend the reach of our Social Investment and contribute to greater access to educational opportunities for young people.

This work supports SDG 4 – Quality Education and SDG 10 – Reduced Inequalities, while advancing our wider commitment to creating meaningful impact in the communities we serve💛

As we continue highlighting Back-to-School initiatives across the Group, we’re heading to Barbados, where ANSA McAL (Barbados) Limited is supporting the children of employees as they prepare for an exciting new chapter in their education 🎒📚

It’s another meaningful example of how our teams across the region are supporting our people and the next generation.

Tawania Hinds-Elcock, Marketing and External Affairs Manager, recently presented back-to-school vouchers to parents across the Group’s subsidiaries, whose children successfully sat the Common Entrance Examination and will be entering secondary schools in September.

As they prepare to begin this exciting new chapter, we congratulate each student on this important milestone and wish them continued success. At ANSA McAL, we are proud to support our people and celebrate the achievements of the next generation.

A new school year is almost here! 📚✏️

As students across Trinidad and Tobago prepare to return to the classroom, our focus this Back-to-School season is on helping more young people start the year with the essentials they need to learn and participate fully.

Through our partnership with the Arouca Youth Council, stationery supplies were distributed to students within the Arouca community, forming part of a wider ANSA McAL effort reaching children across communities throughout Trinidad.

This is Social Investment in action: working with partners on the ground to support young people and help create greater access to educational opportunities.

Youth remain at the heart of the impact we are working to create in our communities, while ensuring our efforts support SDG 4 - Quality Education and SDG 10 - Reduced Inequalities.

Over the next few days, we’ll be sharing more of the people, partners and communities behind our Back-to-School impact💛
