October 10 is Taiwan’s National Day!
If you happen to be in Taipei, don’t head back to your hotel too early — two special National Day celebrations will light up the city this evening.
1. Presidential Office｜National Day Projection Mapping Show
✨ Highlights:
This year’s show, “Democratic Taiwan, Heartbeat of the World,” transforms the historic Presidential Office Building with light, animation and projection, telling stories of Taiwan through a spectacular nighttime display.

7:00–9:30 PM, every 30 minutes

2. TAIPEI 101｜National Day Fireworks & Drone Show
✨ Highlights:
Under the theme “ONWARD TAIWAN,” 600 drones will take to the sky alongside fireworks, lasers and TAIPEI 101’s building lights for an approximately 14-minute National Day spectacular.

💡 Travel tip:
The Xinyi District will be very busy that evening, so arrive early and use public transportation whenever possible.
