In the latest Green Airports Recognition (GAR 2026) announced by the Airports Council International Asia-Pacific & Middle East, Taoyuan International Airport stood out in the “Over 40 Million Passengers per Annum” category and proudly claimed the Gold Award!

In response to the growing challenges posed by climate change, our “Resilient Airport: ISO 14090 Adaptation Governance Plan” received high praise from the international panel of judges.

What efforts have we made to achieve this recognition?
​
🎯 Taking targeted action against extreme weather: We have systematically developed 36 concrete action plans to address risks brought by high temperatures, heavy rainfall, typhoons, and other extreme weather events.
​
🎯 Embedding resilience into daily operations: We have fully integrated climate adaptation and resilience planning into routine inspections, operational procedures, and emergency response drills.
​
🎯 Receiving international recognition: In September 2025, our governance achievements passed verification under the ISO 14090 Adaptation to Climate Change standard.

透過一步一步的模擬與陪伴，讓星兒們在安心、溫暖的環境中熟悉搭機情境，
也為未來勇敢探索世界，累積更多信心與勇氣💙

For many people, boarding a plane marks the beginning of a journey, but for children with autism, the unfamiliar surroundings, sounds, and procedures can take a little longer to adjust to.
​
To create a more supportive gateway to the nation, Taoyuan International Airport partnered with Emirates o host the "Little Star's First Boarding Adventure" event, inviting the students and teachers from LittleStarsLongtianWorkshop to experience the full process firsthand – from check-in and security screening to waiting at the gate and boarding.
​
Through step-by-step simulations and caring companionship, the children were able to become familiar with the airport experience in a safe and welcoming environment, helping them build the confidence and courage to one day explore the world on their own. 💙
​
Every moment of understanding and companionship is one step closer to the world.
