CCTV footage recorded at São Paulo-Congonhas Airport in Brazil has captured an Embraer E195-E2 operated by Azul Linhas Aéreas lifting off in the final metres of the runway during takeoff.

The incident reportedly occurred on 12 October 2026, involving flight AD4797, bound for Belo Horizonte/Confins. The aircraft, registered PS-AEK, used almost the entire 1,940-metre runway 17R before becoming airborne.

According to Brazilian aviation reports, the aircraft continued to its destination without any reported problems, and the pilots did not report an issue to air traffic control.

Flight-tracking data also indicated that the aircraft was approximately 500 feet (152 metres) lower than during typical departures shortly after passing the end of the runway. The reason for the unusually long takeoff roll remains unknown.
