Uganda Officially Declared Ebola-Free 🇺🇬

This morning reminded us why contingency planning is one of the most valuable principles in logistics.

We had carefully planned ground transfers for our international clients and confirmed the arrangements with the supplier well in advance. However, just before deployment, the planned arrangement unexpectedly fell through.

Fortunately, our contingency plan had already been activated. Two professional transport partners were on standby, enabling us to receive our clients on time and ensure a smooth transfer without disrupting their journey.

The experience reinforced a lesson that has stayed with me since my logistics training:

Always have a contingency plan and invest time in building a dependable network of suppliers.

In business, challenges are inevitable. What defines you is not whether challenges arise, but whether you are prepared to respond when they do. A strong supplier network and a well-thought-out backup plan protect your clients, your reputation, and your business.

I am grateful for the training and mentorship that prepared me for the realities of logistics. Above all, I thank God for His wisdom, discernment, and the grace to keep learning through every experience.

Every challenge is an opportunity to strengthen systems, build resilience, and serve better.
