Safety is our #1 priority on tour!

One question we often get is: How do we make sure students are safely in their rooms for the night?

The answer? Nightly room checks!

Every night, we account for all our students, make sure everyone is in the right room, and even tape them in for the night!

But these aren’t your typical room checks…

We bring in some of our favorite celebrity friends to help out! From Presidents George Washington and Abe Lincoln to some prehistoric pals 🦖, these special guests always bring the fun and help our travelers end their night with a smile!

It’s just one more way we combine safety with the unforgettable memories that make a World Classrooms trip so special! 💙

Former travelers: Have you ever been lucky enough to snap a picture with one of our celebrity room checkers? Drop it in the comments! 📸👇

Sometimes you lose track of a former traveler.

Sometimes they turn up behind a coffee counter in Sioux Falls.

Evan first traveled with World Classrooms as an eighth grader from one of our largest schools in western South Dakota. His family has a long history with us, too—his parents have traveled to our nation’s capital with his brothers and sisters more than five times.

But as sometimes happens, we eventually lost track of Evan. He moved to Sioux Falls and began working at Josiah’s Coffeehouse.

Then one afternoon, a World Classrooms teammate walked in wearing a WC backpack between school visits. Evan recognized it, introduced himself and told us he had traveled with World Classrooms.

That one conversation brought his story full circle.

He made great coffee.

His impact on tour has been even better.

You’ll see Evan throughout the Midwest this fall. If you meet him, ask about his favorite salad.

Trust us—there’s a story.

Former travelers -- let's show some love to Evan!

In the summer of 2023, Spencer was leading your kids through Washington, D.C.

Today, his job is finding the people who will do it next.

Full circle.

Spencer started with World Classrooms as a CEO on tour and immediately became a fan favorite—the kind of person middle schoolers are still talking about on the bus ride home.

Then he did what only a few people do: he packed up and moved to Washington, D.C.

Last summer, Spencer helped lead the WC Families Scavenger Hunt with more than 10,000 students. Today, he’s a full-time member of our D.C. team, recruiting the next generation of World Classrooms CEOs.

Who better to recognize future leaders than someone who has already lived the role himself? We have big plans for Spenc. His World Classrooms story is only getting started. Former travelers -- let's show some love to Spencer in the chat!!

This is what it’s all about! 🚾💙🤍

One of the things that contributes to WC’s 6-star experiences are our amazing bus drivers. Not only do we work with some of the most skilled drivers in the business, but we also get to work with drivers who genuinely care about our travelers.

Thanks to our incredible bus drivers, our travelers get to enjoy unforgettable experiences, dance battles, karaoke sing-alongs, and so much more — all while building relationships and memories that last long after the trip is over.

One of our favorite bus drivers, Brian Smith () from Oleta Coach Lines, recently got the opportunity to make the trip from Virginia all the way to Spearfish, SD! Brian has driven groups from this school through Washington, DC since 2022, so getting to see the school and community outside of DC made this trip extra special.

We’re so thankful for amazing bus drivers like Brian who continue to make an impact on our travelers year after year.

Former travelers who have had Brian as your bus driver — show him some love in the comments! 👇

The first thing kids tell their parents about a World Classrooms trip isn’t always the monuments. That’s Nile.

He becomes famous at almost every school he travels with—usually somewhere between doing the splits, singing along to Pitch Perfect and starting a sports debate no eighth grader is going to win.

What the kids may not know is that Nile has been posting videos to his own YouTube channel for the past 15 years.

He’s not famous. But he’s famous to us.

Nile also has a rich background in education and the classroom. We just happen to think one of the best classrooms in the world is the one with the United States Capitol at the end of it.

You’ll see plenty of Nile at parent meetings this fall. We can’t promise he’ll attempt the splits in Lululemon pants—but knowing Nile, he might give it a shot. Former travelers -- let's show some love to Nile!

What do a 101-degree spin class and leading students through Washington, D.C. have in common?

More than you might think.

After attending one of Lexi’s classes, we knew she had the energy, confidence and voice to command a room. She was already a natural leader—just in a different environment.

And, to be fair, D.C. can feel about 101 degrees in the summer, too.

But here’s the part we love: this isn’t Lexi’s first World Classrooms experience.

Lexi traveled with us in high school alongside her mom who quickly earned the nickname Panda on tour.

Now, she’s gone from being a student traveler to standing at the front of the room and helping a new generation of families prepare for their adventure. You may see Lexi leading a parent meeting this fall. There won’t be any peloton bikes—but don’t worry, she still knows how to take control of the room.

Here’s to Panda & Lexi too. Come meet her this fall. Let's show some love to Lexi in the comments!

Yes, Cicely is a former World Classrooms traveler.

Yes, she became a CEO on tour and traveled with more than 457 students this summer.

Yes, she’s coming back next summer.

And yes, she’ll be leading parent meetings this fall.

But here’s the part you probably don’t know.

Last spring, Cicely flew to Washington, D.C. to audition for our CEO team. Her flight never made it. It was diverted to Pennsylvania, and her next available flight wouldn’t arrive until after the audition was over.

So Cicely started talking with two other passengers who were also trying to reach D.C. by morning. The three of them found a way to make the drive through the night.

She reached our nation’s capital with only a few hours to spare.

No sleep. No complaining. Just grit.

Needless to say, we knew she had the job the moment her feet hit D.C.

Cicely is now back at Iowa State University—but you’ll see her at parent meetings this fall and back on tour next summer.

That’s the kind of person we want leading your kids. Former travelers -- let's show some love for Cicely!

Before Paige ever helped lead your kids through Washington, D.C., she was trusted with ours.

Paige’s World Classrooms story began when she was a college soccer player at Northern State University and spent two years as our CEO and President’s nanny. After watching how she cared for his own children, trusting her with other families’ children felt pretty natural.

Today, you may recognize Paige from one of our favorite Parents’ Night Out locations, the best BBQ in D.C., or her newest role as a Traveling Ambassador working with hundreds of schools across the country.

But one of our favorite Paige moments happened over Labor Day, when she introduced her 78-year-old grandmother, Helly to Washington, D.C. for the first time.

Seventy-eight years young, seeing the Lincoln Memorial for the first time, with her granddaughter beside her. That is what this is all about. Paige will be leading parent meetings this fall. When you see her, ask about taking Grandma to D.C. You’ll quickly understand why we trust her with your kids.
