We’re very thankful to share that the pilot involved in today’s aircraft incident is okay and home safe.

The aircraft came down in a field southeast of the airport, away from the runway. Most importantly, the pilot was able to walk away from a very serious situation.

We know many of you were concerned, so we simply wanted to let everyone know that he is safe. Please continue to keep him in your thoughts and prayers tonight. We are incredibly grateful this had a good ending. ❤️✈️

The storm has passed and it’s time to get back in the air! ✈️

Come on out to Abita Skies at L31 — fuel up, grab a snack or cold drink, kick back in one of our massage chairs, and enjoy a little downtime before your next flight.

We’re ready to welcome our pilots and visitors back. Stop in, say hello, and let’s get flying again!
