We wanted to share a quick update as fuel prices continue to move upward.

While gasoline prices have risen about 47 cents per gallon (around 16%) over the past week, diesel has climbed even faster, increasing roughly 84 cents per gallon (around 22%) to an average near $4.60 per gallon, according to the latest data from AAA.

Because diesel fuels much of the transportation industry, we are beginning to see some upward pressure on freight rates across the market. We are monitoring conditions closely and will do our best to maintain stable pricing whenever possible as the market fluctuates.

Get To It Transport is hiring a Logistics Coordinator/Customer Service Representative to assist our operations department with increasing freight volumes and project cargo via port cities.

In this role you will:
Planning and tracking loads/shipment activities and maintaining accurate records
Provide customer service excellence by serving existing customer accounts
Maintain regular contact with customers to understand needs and identify business opportunities
Ensure accurate order entry into company TMS software
Identify potential issues and utilize critical thinking to determine the best course of action
Interacts with customers via phone and other electronic methods
Assist in new account development and account forecasting
Rotating on call availability (24/7) with other team members
Some travel will be required to existing and new clients’ locations as job experience increases.
Perform other duties as assigned

Get To it Transport is looking for:
Self-starter, someone willing to learn the transportation industry and what it takes to truly provide great customer service to our clients.
Must have clear and concise communication skills
Strong customer service skills with the drive to resolve issues
Competent in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word) and other business-related applications
Fast paced and able to multitask in a high-pressure environment
Ability to take verbal/written instruction and execute with confidence
Excellent organizational skills
Team player who can also produce independent results
