Awesome turn out Saturday for our Badic Marine First Aid Class!

So much good information and all participants left with their own first aid kit packed with items for a number of different scenarios.

On Monday evening PICYA hosted the awards dinner for Opening Day on the Bay at

IYC’s very own Elizabeth Henderson took 3rd Place on for decorated sailboat.

Elizabeth and crew weren’t able to attend so other IYC members accepted on their behalf.

IYC’s Women’s Sailing Seminar (WSS) Scholarships

Our WSS planning team strives to ensure that women from all walks of life are welcome in our community, can attend our programs, and join the SF Bay Area sailing community.

WSS is offering a limited number of full scholarships to attend its sailing seminar taking place September 11–13 in Alameda.

Deadline to apply is June 10th, 2026 - applications are reviewed as they are received so early submission is encouraged!

WSS provides a fun, safe, and supportive environment for participants to learn sailing skills, build confidence, and connect with community.

No sailing experience is necessary and scholarships are for the beginning level track. Life jackets will be provided.

IYC’s Summer Cruise Out schedule is 🔥🔥🔥🔥

Not a racer? Enjoy a slower pace on the water?

Cruise out with us!

Join us at one of these stops this summer!

What’s a cruise out? A cruise out is an organized trip where members take their boats to a shared destination; usually to another yacht club.

Other clubs welcome the cruising club by offering slips, dinner in the club, or special activities at the club or around town.

Join the fun either by boat or drive over to meet the flotilla.

Basic Marine First Aid ⛑️ 🩹

Saturday May 16, 2026

10:00am-12:30p

Cost: $40 includes a personal First Aid Kit for home, travel, or your boat!

Join fellow sailors, Nurse Caroline Schrader and EMT Respiratory Therapist, Tracy Ward, to learn the basics of first aid when you’re on the water (or land) and understand the most important supplies for your first aid kit.

Plus, bonus round! Does your PFD fit correctly?

Bring your PFD in and have it fitted by USCG Auxiliary Officer Vivian McBride

Beverages provided. Feel free to bring a snack to share.
