6/2/2026 (Utica, NY) Standing at the intersection of Genesee Street and Oriskany Street East, taking in downtown Utica. The video captures the Utica sign, Hotel Utica, the illuminated UTICA letters on the RCIL parking garage, Wynn Hospital, Genesee Tower, and traffic moving through the city’s main corridor.

6/2/2026 (Utica, NY) Today’s complaint: Dunkin’ coffee lid engineering. The drink tab wouldn’t stay open, kept snapping shut, and almost launched coffee everywhere. Ended up using a charger cable to pry it open, and it still wouldn’t latch properly. Anyone else have this problem?

6/2/2026 (Verona, NY) Driving west on I-90 just past the Verona exit, traffic slowed as crews worked to recover an Amazon semi truck that had gone off the roadway into a ditch. Emergency vehicles, cones, and a crane were on scene while traffic continued moving through the area.

6/1/2026 (Utica, NY) Parked along Genesee Street and walked up to the bridge overlooking the Erie Canal to catch the sunset. A quiet evening view of one of the waterways that helped shape Utica and Upstate New York.

5/28/2026 (Utica, NY) Driving south on Culver Avenue from Dreyer Avenue to Monroe Street. This route passes through one of Utica’s residential neighborhoods before reaching the Parkway Pizza area on the south side of the city.

6/1/2026 (Utica, NY) Driving through Lafayette Square on Lafayette Street in downtown Utica, I passed one of the city’s large public murals. The artwork combines bright, colorful flowers with black-and-white historical imagery, including an Erie Canal barge and horses pulling along the canal.

The mural reflects both Utica’s past and present. The Erie Canal helped transform Utica into one of the most important transportation and manufacturing centers in New York during the 1800s, while the colorful floral elements add a modern artistic touch to the historic scene.

6/1/2026 (Utica, NY) Driving down Elizabeth Street toward Genesee Street in downtown Utica. From this approach, you can see several of the buildings that help define the city’s skyline, including landmarks around the Genesee Street corridor and downtown business district.

Elizabeth Street runs through one of Utica’s oldest neighborhoods and provides a direct view toward the heart of the city. As you get closer to Genesee Street, the historic churches, office buildings, and downtown structures become more prominent against the skyline.

5/27/2026 (Yorkville, NY) Driving west on Whitesboro Street, I crossed from Utica into the Village of Yorkville and continued all the way to the border with the Village of Whitesboro.

Yorkville was incorporated as a village in 1902 and is one of the smaller communities in Oneida County, with a population of about 2,600 residents. Whitesboro Street serves as one of the main east-west routes connecting Utica, Yorkville, and Whitesboro, making it a busy local corridor for residents traveling between the villages.

5/29/2026 (Ithaca, NY) Ithaca Commons during the Summer Concert Series. The streets were closed to traffic, vendors had tents set up throughout the Commons, and people gathered to enjoy live music in the heart of downtown.

After Cornell and Ithaca College students leave for the summer, the Commons remains one of the busiest gathering places in the city. Throughout the season, the Summer Concert Series brings local and touring musicians to downtown, creating a lively atmosphere for residents and visitors alike.

5/30/2026 (East Rutherford, NJ) Driving north on I-95 through the Meadowlands, I passed the American Dream Mall. From the highway you can spot the giant Ferris wheel, the massive digital billboard, and the glass-domed roof that stands out against the skyline.

American Dream is one of the largest malls in the United States, with more than 3 million square feet of space. Inside you’ll find Nickelodeon Universe, the largest indoor theme park in North America, DreamWorks Water Park, one of the largest indoor water parks in the world, and Big SNOW, North America’s first and only year-round indoor real-snow ski resort. The complex also includes an aquarium, ice skating rink, mini golf, luxury shopping, and hundreds of stores.
