Lunch yesterday in Albany was Ships Pub for burger 21. Ship's Pub is an Albany staple restaurant and pub that natives has attended for years. The food is great. The staff is amazing. Their Most Popular Burger the Rodeo Burger is a monster of a sandwich make sure you bring an appetite when you dive into one of those or any of the other great burgers here. Ship's Pub also partnered with to provide exclusive cheesecake desserts that are simply delicious. Make sure you try all the flavors. If you're looking for an awesome place to kick back with friends to have great food and drinks. Ship's Pub has you covered.

I've made it to Burger no.20 on the Capital Region Best Burger Challenge 🙌🏽. Innovo Kitchen has been on my recommendations list for last couple weeks. Finally I'm here. This 50/50 Burger was not worth the wait. Shame on me I should've been here for this Amazing burger the day I heard of it. That's how Great this burger is. The flavors are creative, innovative and an absolute must try. Along with the many other burgers and mouth watering dishes I watched being served around me. Innovo Kitchen is most definitely on my will return multiple times list because I have so many other things to try here. They're playing mad scientist in that kitchen with these dishes and burgers and they are winning.

50/50 Burger:
Cajun Dusted Angus Brisket and Slab Bacon Patty, American Cheese, Candied Bacon, Bread & Butter Pickle Chips, Habañero Jam, Smear of Peanut Butter

Yesterday I had to go check out another place that only serves a single house burger Hooked Market & Kitchen however they had a fish burger on the menu as well so what the heck I tried both. The Beef Burger took the win and its spot on the challenge board. Although, I don't think you can make a bad decision of which one to order. I felt like every table there had one or the other ordered. The Fries just may be the best in the Capital Region. Argue wit yo momma! Fresh Fish, Raw Bar, Solid Drinks, Fun and Friendly staff. Can't go wrong here. Go get Hooked up!

My last stop before the New York Beef Council NY Best Burger voting closes on Apr 10 at 5p. was Illusive Restaurant & Bar for their Twisted Popper! This Jalapeno meets a smash burger insane creation. It's on another Stratosphere! They are in rare thin air most places can't go! Illusive are truly flavor savants when it comes to burgers! With respect to all other nominees, This burger is clearly at the least a Top 5 NY Best Burger, if not the Winner.

Last night after a great day of watching some of the best wrestling in the country. I met the guys Bricks Bar & Grill for food and a burger. The place has some of the most generous portion of appetizers and an amazing burger called the Blackened Blueberry burger.
If by any reason you're in the Cedar Rapids downtown area this is a great place for friends, food, drinks, and a great time. Congrats to and on a Great Season!

Last night I went to Bootleggers On Broadway for Burger 19. I've been waiting to get here to try this peanut butter burger and I was pleasantly surprised how this peanut butter and jelly style burger works. I had to have others try it just so everyone can believe me on this one. It's delicious and worth that adventurous try. Live music on Fridays and great service from a bunch of great friendly staff makes it a very cool spot to go hang out at on a Friday night!

Peanut Butter & Bacon Burger:
8oz. Patty topped with Bacon, Chipotle Honey Infused Peanut Butter, Melba Sauce

Last night Burger no.18 brought me to Tipsy Moose Tavern for their Moose Knuckle burger. This burger is layers of deliciousness. I couldn't even try the burger special because I ate the entire moose knuckle and was too full. The list of burgers there are all fire. My son ordered a buffalo chicken pizza that was amazing. The food and atmosphere in there is second to none. Most definitely a great weekend chill spot for drinks and great food.

Moose Knuckle:
8oz. Angus Beef, Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions, Swiss American, Cheddar Cheese, Smoked Bacon, Fried Egg

I've had a few recommendations to go over to Junior's Bar & Grill to try a burger called The Legend. First, The server is had was amazing and I watched her and the staff run around handing takeout orders and holding down the dining room patrons. Shout out to the juniors sportsbar and grill staff! Burger 17 The Legend burger is a very good burger that in my personal experience could have been much better. I wish the Candied Black Pepper Bacon was used instead of regular bacon that was slightly under cooked for my liking. With that being said the short rib and chuck patty was delicious tender and juicy. The star most definitely was the black garlic ketchup. This sauce is one of the best I've had around and totally elevates this burger. The Legend is a must try burger but just be sure you get that Candied Bacon on it and I know it's a hit!

The Legend:
Extra thick, bowl chopped short rib and chuck patty, candied black pepper bacon, Cooper's Cheese black pepper american, mayo, black garlic ketchup, lettuce and pickle chips, on an ultra-light and crispy pan de cristal bun

When I heard there was a new Halal Fried Chicken restaurant that was a Dubai based with Indian flavoring profile. I had to get down to ChicKing NY to try their chicken. The unique flavors of the sauces to go with the chicken as well as the spices used on the food itself was delicious! Their chicken is fried perfectly crispy just the way everyone likes for that amazing crispy crunchy bite. The staff was very welcoming to everyone and food is fresh and basically cooked to order. If your looking for fried chicken with a different flavor twist then ChicKing has you covered. Get them on your list of new locations to try. You won't be disappointed.
