Thank you for a great sweet corn season! Sorry we didn't make it until the end of August like we had predicted. The hot weather moved the sweet corn on a lot faster than we had anticipated. We also had some large orders at the end of the season that cut into our supply and ended things a couple of days sooner.
Thanks for enjoying great sweet corn with us. I think my favorite variety this year was Sweetness, the early variety followed by Rosie. It was the best this year that it's ever been.
We will see you next year!
Update on my kids/ helpers/fellow sweet corn pickers.
Claire, my oldest will be graduating Iowa State University this December with a degree in Computer Engineering. She currently has an internship with Sukup.
My son Aaron is currently attending IWCC getting an Electrical systems degree (he works with PLCs, programming robots, and actually applying the math I teach).
Abby is a junior in high school also taking college credit classes and loves theater, music, and robotics.
Zachary is in 8th grade and does Math counts.

Uncle Al (top left), uncle Bernie (top right) and aunt Virginia (front left) are kind enough to help us pick sweet corn and carry on the tradition my parents started. Also pictures are uncle John, aunt Patty and aunt Teresa. Teresa helps at the corn truck later in the season when I start teaching.
