Johannes Bus Service - Aledo

The complimentary ALEDO TOWN BUS STOPS are going to see some changes this fall ..... with buses running at or close to capacity and the ongoing driver shortage we will be revamping our town stops a bit.

As of now, these will be our pickup and drop off locations when school resumes for the 2026-27 school year:

BUTTONWOOD
NW 6th Ave/NW 5th St (South of Yogi Bear Park)
LUTHERAN CHURCH
NE 4th Ave/NE 6th St (Sponsler area)
SE 5th Ave/SE 5th St (North of Cemetery Park)

Morning pickup times should be between 725-735am. Times and bus numbers will be posted closer to the start of the new school year. If overcrowding continues we may be forced to make more revisions or temporarily discontinue the Aledo town stops. We encourage those who are able to get their children to and from school to do so ..... this will allow more room for those who have no other means of transportation.

This affects many so we wanted to give everyone plenty of time to make any necessary adjustments. If you have any questions or concerns, contact us via email: [email protected] or call (309)582-2922.

Morning routes are done before 8am and afternoon routes don't begin until mid afternoon.
Plenty of time for a nap .... or shopping, cleaning, visits with friends, babysitting, another job, the possibilities are endless!!

Guaranteed 4 hours pay per day (even if your routes do not take that long) and pay starts at $20+ per hour. Don't have your bus permit or CDL? We offer paid training! Sign on bonus for drivers and if you refer a driver to us ... you're eligible for a bonus also!!

Now hiring for spring and fall routes at our Aledo location. There is also opportunity for extra work during the day, evenings, and weekends if you're interested. Send your contact information to [email protected] or contact Kim Lloyd directly.

I absolutely love our schedule! Have kids or grandkids in school .... we share their schedule. No school for them means no school for us. Unless of course, you choose to put in for extra trips. Let's talk soon!

Wow!! Y'all showered our drivers with so much love and appreciation this week .... from holiday treats and gifts to heartfelt Christmas wishes from your children.

It's finally here ..... our last day of school before Christmas break!

And then we will see you all again on Tuesday January 6.

There will be some route changes when we return and your drivers will be reminding students this afternoon. I'll post Aledo Town Stop changes (times and bus numbers) in the comments. Otherwise, everyone should be ready 5 minutes prior to their current times .... unless you receive a direct message from our staff.

We have so many kids complaining about how cold it is .....
as they get on the bus with no hat, no gloves, and if they have a coat it's usually being carried or in their bookbag.

Please encourage your kiddos to bundle up. And if they are in need of coats, gloves, hats .... there are many amazing resources in our community offering assistance.

Hope everyone had a safe and wonderful holiday break! How about this snow ❄️ 🥶

📌 Just a few winter reminders ....

* Please contact the bus garage by 6am if your student does not need the bus in the morning.

* We would also appreciate you keeping us posted on your road conditions so we can plan accordingly. If any roads that the bus travels have not been plowed or need checked out, please contact Kim @ JBS or you can reach out to your road commissioner directly.

* Buses may run 5-10 minutes earlier during winter weather months. Please have your students ready to load the bus when it arrives. Students can wait in house until they see bus approaching... especially when it's cold outside.

* Aledo town stops: buses should be close to their regular schedule but please dress your students accordingly in case there would happen to be a delay.

* Allow the driver extra room at all bus stops. Stand back 6-10 feet from your regular spot and wait to approach bus until it comes to a complete stop.
