Today's TCA Call on Washington was a success!

Attendees had meaningful, productive conversations with lawmakers, advocating for the issues that matter most to them and the trucking industry. “I'd been through a rollover myself years ago, so I just wanted to pay it forward and help the guy out.”

Mark Binner, a professional driver for ABF Freight, was honored as a for his courageous actions after witnessing a truck overturn during a severe storm near McPaul, Iowa.

Mark stopped to help the injured driver trapped inside the overturned tractor. He pulled the windshield away, helped the driver out, provided first aid for his injuries and brought him into the safety of his truck, where he stayed with him until emergency responders arrived.

TCA Elevate Launches Driver Appreciation Project

With National Trucking Week and NTDAW approaching, TCA Elevate is bringing members together to assemble 250 driver appreciation backpack kits for professional drivers.

The kits will include useful, everyday items and thoughtful treats, with members purchasing needed items through the Amazon Wishlist. Items can be shipped directly to TCA for the “Stuff the Bag” activity at the Fall Business Meeting on Sept 1.

The completed kits will then be personally delivered to professional drivers at fuel stops, helping TCA Elevate bring appreciation directly to the people who keep our industry moving.
