We’re excited to welcome Tina Ellis this month as part of an incredible lineup of cybersecurity professionals bringing their knowledge and perspectives to the trucking industry. 🚛💻

Tina manages the Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) program at Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL), turning threat intelligence into actionable insights and tracking cyber activity that increasingly impacts interconnected supply chains, transportation, and freight.

Help welcome Diana Camacho to the team! Her hometown is Ciudad Obregón, Sonora, Mexico and she resides in Playa del Carmen.🏖️ Diana earned her bachelor’s degree in Communications and has worked as a radio host at one of Mexico’s most-listened-to radio stations to managing communications for an airport VIP lounge company in Cancun.🎙️So, what's her favorite meal? Sushi, seafood, and carne asada tacos!🌮 And her go-to karaoke song? “Golden” from KPop Demon Hunters (and her all-time go-to is "Querida” by Juan Gabriel). 🎤 When asked to describe her perfect weekend, it would involve going to the beach, getting some vitamin D, grabbing a delicious meal somewhere, and/or playing video games. 😊

Earlier this month, NMFTA's cybersecurity team members, Joe Ohr and Ben Gardiner, took part in a day‑long event at Griffiss International Airport in Rome, NY. The event brought together engineers from AIS and AFRL, county airport personnel, and industry guests.

Ben Gardiner conducted a series of tests to determine if remote signals could influence critical vehicle systems in motion, expanding on previous research that demonstrated the presence of potential cyber-attack vectors that could impact vehicle component reliability.

The findings were incorporated into Ben's Black Hat USA and DEF CON 34 sessions last week in Las Vegas.
