NOTICE: It has been requested that The Santa Fe Times temporarily discontinue sale of newspapers at Casey's in Waverly and Concordia. Concordia residents may still get single copies of the paper at Bratcher's Market in Concordia. Additionally, the newspaper machine located at Community Bank in Waverly remains out of service, though it is on the list to be serviced as soon as possible. We are currently working on other arrangements to provide the newspaper to Waverly residents, but in the meantime, please consider subscribing so we can deliver the paper directly to your mailbox! State of Missouri Endangered SILVER Advisory

The Saline County Sheriff's Office has issued an Endangered SILVER Advisory for a missing adult incident that occurred at 32435 Ladder Ave, Marshall, MO at 9:05 AM on 6/30/2026.

The endangered SILVER advisory missing adult is: Shirley L Swift, a white, female, age 89, hgt 5' 2", 150 lbs, gay hair, brown eyes, wearing a light blue striped shirt, blue jeans, and red or orange shoes.

Diagnosed Medical Condition(s): Dementia

Brief circumstances regarding the Endangered Silver Person: Swift walked away from Hartland Residential Care Center on foot.

Anyone seeing the missing person, suspect, associate, or vehicle, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Saline County Sheriff's Office at 660-886-5511.

On Wednesday, May 13, at approximately 1105 hours, a deputy with the Chariton County Sheriff’s Department attempted to conduct a traffic stop near Brunswick, Missouri. The vehicle fled from the deputy, and was later located abandoned southwest of Sumner, Missouri.

Authorities are actively searching for one white male and one white female believed to be Jason Spease and Ashley Howes. At this time, clothing descriptions are unknown.

Jason Spease is known to have violent tendencies, and Ashley Howes is currently listed as a missing person.

Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is urged to contact the Chariton County Sheriff’s Department at 660-288-3040. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.

UPDATE: April 30, 2026, 6:21 p.m.: Missing person has been found safe.

The Carroll County Sheriff Dept. has issued an Endangered Person Advisory for a missing person incident that occurred at 705 Ruby St. Carrollton at 2:15 p.m. on 4/30/2026.

The endangered missing person: Kevin Frock, is a white male, age 54, height 507, 155 lbs, gray hair, brown eyes, complexion, with , wearing red zip up coat, blue jeans, and tennis shoes.

Brief circumstances regarding the Endangered Missing Person incident: Last seen leaving his residence at 1415 on foot heading north down a dead-end street. Frock suffers from medical problems that cause cognitive and physical issues.

Anyone seeing the missing person, or anyone having any information related to the endangered missing person should immediately dial 911 to contact the nearest law enforcement agency or call the Carroll County Sheriff Dept. at 660-542-2200.
