When you hear the term TSPLOST, you might not know exactly what it means, but you can tell it’s important.

TSPLOST stands for Transportation Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax. It’s a local sales tax that funds transportation improvements and projects within a community.

There are four types in Georgia and TSPLOST-funded projects can include roads, sidewalks, trails, transit and storm drainage work related to transportation projects.

Fulton County voters outside the city of Atlanta will consider renewing the TSPLOST during the November 3, 2026 General Election. The renewal would maintain the current rate of 0.75 cents.

A local Roswell business just completed a 10,000-square-foot expansion! PBS Aerospace upgraded its Georgia manufacturing facility to increase production capacity to 5,000 turbojet engines.

William Didden, owner of PBS GROUP stated, "Over the past year, the facility has doubled its test capability and expanded its production floor, and our future investments will remain focused on maximizing the capacity we can provide to U.S. customers.”

Drivers may notice more construction activity and changes along SR 400 as work continues on the SR 400 Express Lanes project. The project will add 16 miles of new express lanes while supporting future transit, improved connectivity and more reliable travel throughout the corridor.

As construction progresses, trees and landscaping will continue to be impacted. The Landscaping at the four interchanges within True North 400 (Mansell Road, Haynes Bridge Road, Old Milton Parkway, and Windward Parkway) will be replaced as part of the project once construction is complete. Restoring these areas is important as these long-term mobility improvements take shape and create economic opportunity for the corridor.
