From all of us at Alva Regional Airport, we want to wish you a wonderful Christmas and Holiday Season. Our airport always welcomes you and your loved ones, and our doors are always open. We will be going to On-call/as needed manning starting Christmas Eve at Noon and all through Christmas Day. The FBO will still be open to the public, and we will still be available to take care of your needs at any time by calling 580-748-2709.

Alva Airport has had to close Runway 09/27 (our grass runway) due to an obstruction and is set to reopen on or around 7 Aug 2025.

*UPDATE*

We shifted our start date by 2 weeks.

Alva Airport followers, friends, and local aviators, as some of you know we have been under construction with taxiway B being rebuilt. We have hit the stage in the construction that requires a short shut down of the runways to allow the completion of the work. Starting July 28th and the runways will remain closed to 7 August. We apologize for inconvenience this may cause as we are working to have this construction completed.

We are seeking a part-time airport attendant to join our team. The position requires working weekends and some holidays. This is a customer service oriented business. The position will consist of fueling aircraft of all sizes, operating fuel trucks, custodial duties, answering phone calls from potential customers, and landscaping duties during mowing season. The position is 24 hours per week and pay is $15.64/hr. Must pass drug test and physical, to***co free facility. EOE

Busy day here at KAVK! Three Citation models on the apron; CJ1, CJ4, and a 10. Let's not forget about Dr. Tupper and his Navion that comes here once a week. We've had several GA fuel stops as well. Always thankful for the beautiful weather and busy days.

Town Hall Meeting Announcement

The Alva Regional Airport Commission Board will be holding a Town Hall meeting on August 26th at 6:00 PM at our Fixed Based Operator (FBO) facility.

The meeting will provide information on airport fencing, followed by a discussion with local pilots and citizens. Your participation and input are highly valued.

Been busy with traffic and mowing I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the first couple of days work. Dirt work and more has started for our new above ground 12,000 gallon Jet A tank. It will feature a self serve option along with a refueling point for our truck. The old underground tank will be removed once the new tank is serviceable.
