I wonder when they poured the concrete here for a fertilizer shed all those decades ago if they ever thought ahead to what happens after? How about when the rail road still ran through this yard? Or even when my father purchased the old facility with its abandoned buildings?
Now days it is being utilized as a drop area for loaded trailers, transferring soybean oil from plant to plant working direct with Fortune 500 companies and bringing jobs to rural America to keep the communities alive.
Maybe I am the only one that thinks about that while drinking coffee in the morning? The generations that came before us and how different life is now.
