What a pleasure to host this husband and wife and child as they were applying at a local church for a pastoral position!
Thank you for noticing (and taking time to write) some of these details you mentioned!
Our decorating style is very intentional, it is felt throughout the house. To expand on a few things mentioned regarding our studio apartment basement:
💛 wood countertop instead of granite which emits radiation
💛 Quartz ledge instead of granite for the same reason
💛 coffee options: Chemex, pour over, French press, drip if preferred, but cannot do a Keurig because of the mold
💛 local honey and/or maple
💛 homemade kombucha in the fridge waiting for you
💛 Bamboo sheets
💛 nontoxic, linens, cleaning supplies, soaps
💛 cooking plate from ToxyFree that can be used to sauté, bake, or used as a serving dish
💛 pillow preference: firm and soft available
💛 smart fridge, which of course is not used with the smart capability enabled
💛 a few healthy snacks provided
💛 simple, exercise equipment provided such as yoga mat, bands, a few weights
💛 to take care of your inner well-being we try to create the upmost, coziest feeling possible… Ambient lighting, blankets, comfy pillows, games, reading material, tea
UPCOMING: Himalayan salt wall tiles
One thing I did compromise on since we’ve started… we didn’t used to have a microwave but provided a toaster oven instead. Our first guest said the one thing they wish we had was a microwave, Tom said I told you so. So we got one 🤷🏻♀️
Come check it out, for whatever reason… A little getaway, family in town and you want to be near, but yet have your distance, traveling for a wedding, sports event?
