We're talking Hobbiton. Tongariro National Park (that's Mordor). Queenstown. The landscapes that Peter Jackson used because there was nowhere else on earth that looked like Middle-earth, because it IS Middle-earth.

I've been to New Zealand. I've stood in the Shire. I've hiked the slopes of Mount Doom. This is the trip I've been wanting to run for years.

🇺🇸 As a Veteran, Memorial Day is always a very special day for me, maybe the most important holiday we have. It's one day set aside to remember our fallen service members, and for many, there is an everyday reminder.

Please enjoy your day today, as many of my friends laid down their lives so we can enjoy today, the time off, the picnics, the bbq's. They would have wanted you to enjoy it.

I just ask that while you're doing it, take a moment to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice, and the loved ones they left behind.

We're a fantasy travel agency, so believe me, I appreciate a jaw-dropping image as much as anyone. Epic castle at sunset? A misty mountain pass straight out of Middle-earth? I'm here for it. 🧙

AI-generated travel images are flooding the internet right now, and travelers are right to be skeptical. So let me be clear about where Flights & Fables stands: every photo I share is a real image of a real place, mine, a photographer's, or a stock library. But always real.

I've been to 64 countries and lived overseas for over 10 years. The fantasy is out there. It just happens to actually exist.
