Today we responded to a motor vehicle accident on I84 west Mp 128. Unfortunately it was a fatal accident. The slow lane was closed during the investigation and recovery. Great teamwork by all involved. Purdy's Towing & Transport, Gilliam County Sheriff's Office, North Gilliam Medic Ambulance, Oregon State Police, Gilliam County Fire Services,Oregon Department of Transportation, and the travelers that assisted when the accident happened.

We had one hell of wreck today. It involved a commercial motor vehicle rear ending another commercial motor vehicle. Luckily there was only minor injuries that were treated at the scene.

There was a diesel spill of about 100 gallons but no fluids were released from the tanker hauling caustic materials.

It took about 8 hours to clear the wreckage due to the damage on the tanker trailer.

On scene was ODOT, Gilliam County Sheriff, North Gilliam Ambulance, Oregon State Police, North Gilliam Fire, Umatilla County Hazmat, and Purdy Towing.

Great teamwork today.

I don’t know how to tag the other agencies due to my lack of computer skills.
