The season behind us and the road ahead.

2026 was a sold-out season. 8 events, 6 states, 77 rigs, 110 community members around the fire. The rigs and the views were never really the point. The point was the people who showed up, and the stuff that only happens when you go through something together in the middle of nowhere.

What a group and what a stretch of country.

Medicine Bow gave us miles of trail, wildlife at every turn, water worth jumping into and long nights around camp. We hiked, we swam, we learned a few things, and we walked away with a whole batch of new friends.

And the food. Huge thanks to Jesse Houston of Switchback Supper Club, whose meals were incredible yet again - though at this point, we really shouldn’t be surprised.

This was our largest group yet, and that only made it better. None of it happens without every single person who shows up, pitches in, and makes Fernweh what it is.

Thank you all, we can’t wait to get back on the trail!

Sometimes the time around the fire is what we remember most. We’re headed back to Wyoming for our largest expedition yet, and we’re stoked for plenty of nights like this around the fire, wide-open terrain to explore, and the incredible country around Medicine Bow. See you all out there soon.
