May 30th, 2026: Celebrating Theresa Pattinson’s Twenty Years with Mustang

Twenty years ago this week, she walked through our doors — and quietly began leaving an indelible mark. From her early days serving customers directly, to her leadership of our operations and customer success teams today, Theresa Pattinson has helped shape the trajectory of this company. She demonstrates daily that skillful ex*****on, operational discipline, and the quest for continuous improvement don’t have to come at the expense of generosity and joy. She embodies our values, lives our culture, and makes all of our days — employees and customers alike — brighter.

Please join us in celebrating 20 incredible years of Theresa’s leadership, dedication, and impact. We’re grateful for all she’s done — and excited for what’s ahead. 🎉

Today’s Medical Donation Highlights: Supporting Students and Wildlife in Pennsylvania and Delaware

Mustang is proud to give Prospect Medical Holdings’ abandoned medical supplies a second life, helping them make a difference far beyond their original purpose. This spring, we’re supporting both local students and wildlife rehabilitation efforts through donations of useful supplies.

Supporting Students at East Lansdowne Elementary School

Mustang was happy to donate waterproof — and paint-proof — ponchos to East Lansdowne Elementary School in Delaware County, PA. Teachers there report that students enjoy wearing the colorful ponchos during arts and crafts projects, as well as at lunchtime, to help protect school uniforms from paint, art supplies, and spills.

Helping Wildlife at Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research, Inc.

Mustang was also proud to support Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research, Inc. in Newark, Delaware, with donations of reusable and disposable surgical gowns, N95 and surgical masks, face shields, and nitrile gloves. These supplies will help veterinarians and staff care for injured, orphaned, and rehabilitating birds in the organization’s busy clinic. From Hospital Resources to Homes: Supporting Delaware & Pennsylvania Communities

Recipient organizations: Friendship House and New Life Furnishings

Supplies: N95 masks, nitrile gloves, weatherproof ponchos, other PPE and daily living supplies

How they’ll help: Friendship House provides support for those experiencing homelessness and houselessness throughout Delaware. Donated PPE and daily living supplies will be utilized by beneficiaries in crowded shelter environments as well as when residing outdoors.

New Life Furnishings provides furniture and housewares to those in need, particularly those transitioning from homelessness to permanent housing in Delaware and Pennsylvania. Mustang staff delivered 21 Crozer hospital rollaway beds to New Life Furnishings, which distributed them each Sunday this winter and spring to single moms with children. The rollaway beds came with mattresses and will provide perfectly sized beds for children while their families work toward securing permanent beds for them.

This winter, family and friends of Mustang, including Mustang kids, also packed PPE supplies into Care Bags for unhoused neighbors in need.

Check back later this week for more recipients of our Crozer/Prospect Medical Holdings supplies!

Today’s Crozer Medical Donation Highlights: Repurposing abandoned supplies to assist rural populations in Guatemala, Cameroon and South Sudan

Recipient organizations: The Guatemala Partnership of New Castle Presbytery (Delaware) and 32 Volcanes, which support programming to improve the lives of Guatemalan women and communities; and medical personnel in Cameroon and South Sudan

Supplies: PPE, stethoscopes, gauze bandages, N95 masks, nebulizer kits, CO2 cannulas, sterilization wraps, oxygen masks, sharps, face shields, belly bands (to support pregnant women), and more

How they'll help: For people living in the Western Highlands of Guatemala—many of whom are Indigenous—access to medical care is often limited to rural clinics. These clinics frequently lack the funding and access needed to obtain high-quality medical supplies within the country. At the same time, Guatemalan medical students are often required to purchase their own training equipment, such as stethoscopes, which can place a significant financial burden on families. And local builders of fuel-efficient stoves—which reduce the harmful health effects of cooking indoors on wood-burning stoves—depend on donated N95 masks during the construction process.

Our donated supplies will support Indigenous patients, medical students, and local builders as they work toward healthier lives and brighter futures.

Local connection: Some members of these communities migrate to the U.S. and settle in nearby Chester County, PA.

Additionally: Our Guatemala recipients connected us to medical personnel who will transport N95 masks, face shields, and belly bands to Cameroon and South Sudan—both of which have endured decades of poverty and conflict.

From Crisis to Community Care: How Mustang Is Redirecting Abandoned Medical Supplies to Those in Need

In early 2025, Prospect Medical Holdings, the for-profit owner of Crozer Health hospitals and facilities in Delaware County, Pennsylvania, abruptly declared bankruptcy. The resulting closures left 2,600 healthcare workers without jobs, drastically reduced community access to healthcare, and created a crisis for unpaid vendors.

When Prospect declared bankruptcy, Mustang was storing more than 900 pallets of Prospect’s hospital supplies and equipment in our warehouse.

We were left with unpaid invoices and the time-intensive and costly burden of shifting a massive amount of medical supplies and equipment—some of it nearing official expiration dates.

This posed a significant challenge for our warehouse business, in which storage space equals revenue.

Fortunately, Mustang doesn’t shrink from challenges.

Early on, we made a commitment to avoid the environmental harm of sending these supplies to landfills or incinerators.

So for over a year, we’ve worked diligently to identify organizations serving vulnerable populations that could benefit from the supplies abandoned by Prospect Medical Holdings—which include personal protective equipment, respirator equipment, stethoscopes, maternity supplies, hospital equipment, and much more.

Over the next several weeks, we’ll share the outcomes of our donation campaigns and highlight the amazing organizations receiving, transporting, distributing, and repurposing these supplies to help people in both local and overseas communities.

Mustang is proud to have turned our encounters with Prospect’s mismanagement and exploitation into new opportunities to support the health and well-being of people in need.

Stay tuned for more updates, and read below for additional background on the Crozer closures and resulting community impacts.

Recent reprieves and last-minute cash influxes have seemingly not been enough to save Crozer Health as Prospect Medical Holdings -- the company that owns Delaware County's largest health network -- has definitively said the health system will close.

April is Distracted Driving Awareness Month 👉 📵

Distracted driving – particularly from cell phone use – is a deadly epidemic, and this month we’re highlighting ways to combat it. What may seem like simple behaviors – checking a text, eating while driving – can rob us of critical seconds that we might need to avoid a close call or a crash.

We’re reminding our employees, family, and followers how to prevent distractions while driving:

• If you need to text, pull over and park in a safe location. Or designate your passenger as your “designated texter” to respond to calls or messages.
• Feel the urge to scroll through apps while driving? Put your cell phone in the trunk, glove box, or back seat of the vehicle until you arrive at your destination.
• When in work zones, reduce all distractions and stay alert to narrow lanes, sudden stops, and shifting traffic patterns.
• If your driver is texting or otherwise distracted, tell them to stop and focus on the road. Promote the above rules amongst your family and friends.

Remember: If you’re in the driver’s seat, driving is the only thing you should be doing.

Happy Birthday, Henry O. Flipper!

Tomorrow marks the birthdate of an important figure in Mustang’s past and present: Henry Ossian Flipper (March 21, 1856 – April 26, 1940). Flipper was the first African American graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point in 1877 and served in the U.S. Army in the American West. He was also a former slave.

Flipper was later appointed assistant to the Secretary of the Interior in Mexico and Latin America and worked as a civil engineer. Throughout his career, Flipper wrote prolifically on subjects such as mining, engineering, history, and property law.

Today Flipper is featured on a bust at West Point and its yearly Henry O. Flipper Award is granted to graduating cadets who demonstrate “leadership, self-discipline, and perseverance in the face of unusual difficulties.”

On March 21, 2024, Mustang designated its conference room as the Henry O. Flipper Conference Room—an enduring reminder of the importance of perseverance through obstacles and the rewards of putting service above self.
