In business in the United States since December, 2001, Future Forwarding has its roots in the UK, where as a company the group have been operating continuously since 1977. In the mid-2000’s, through good customer service, competitive rates and a strong belief in our company by our customers, here in the US we grew at an exponential rate of three hundred to four hundred percent per year. Today, Fut

ure Forwarding’s business stretches into multiple verticals and services. We offer:

International import and export freight forwarding
Customs brokerage
eCommerce fulfillment
Domestic LTL and full truckload

Our eCommerce fulfillment division is growing the most rapidly, representing fashion labels and boutique sellers alike. We deliver to retailers, company-owned stores and consumers. We also offer reverse logistics, processing the returns for items which due to seasonality and style may move in and out of our warehouse multiple times. We operate two facilities, one in Atlanta, Georgia, adjacent to Hartsfield International Airport, and a second in Compton, California, near the massive port complexes of Los Angeles and Long Beach.

Packaging now makes up roughly 40% of plastic consumption in Europe, and waste volumes are up more than 20% in a decade.

The EU's response took effect this week: immediate PFAS restrictions on food-contact packaging, with recyclability standards, single-use bans, and deposit-return requirements arriving by 2030.

Enforcement is expected to start with warnings rather than penalties. That's a window to prepare β€” not a reason to wait.

The surcharge spread is the part worth reading twice.

$320 per TEU from one carrier. $130 from another. $100 from a third. Same canal, same conditions, very different numbers β€” which means your exposure depends heavily on which carrier is moving your cargo.

We break down the current Panama Canal draft limits and how to audit your own exposure by lane.

The de minimis era is over β€” and CBP is tightening the rules further.

Starting July 24, mail imports under $2,500 require additional data filings, and only owners, purchasers, or licensed customs brokers can submit them.

CBP estimates this will bring in more than $100 million in additional duties annually. Is your compliance process ready?

The legal landscape around IEEPA tariff refunds just got more complicated.

The DOJ is challenging the scope of the refund order, and a July 9 court hearing could shape what happens next for finally liquidated entries. Future Forwarding is tracking every development.

Tariffs. Safeguards. Sunset clauses. The EU-US trade deal is full of moving parts β€” and it's almost here.

The agreement caps U.S. levies on most European goods at 15% and removes EU tariffs on most American imports in return. But the details matter, and the timeline is tight.

We've broken it all down so you know exactly what to expect and how to prepare.

The U.S. Department of Labor just launched four free tools to help businesses assess labor risk across their global supply chains.

No subscription. No third-party vendor. Just practical, accessible intelligence for compliance and sourcing teams that need better visibility into where risk lives β€” including beyond Tier 1.

The suite includes LaborShield, ImportWatch, SourcingStrong, and the Supply Chain Traceability Portal. Each one addresses a different piece of the due diligence puzzle.

We broke down what each tool does and why it matters for U.S. importers navigating today's enforcement environment.
