The Westgate Resort in Gatlinburg has a restaurant, Southern Comfort, that feels like it js out of a Hallmark movie. Making it a perfect location for A teacher reset location.

When you spend five days a week managing thirty nervous systems, your own tends to fry.
Enter Helen, Georgia. It turns out, trading lesson plans and fluorescent lights for mountain air, oversized pretzels, and the slow rhythm of the Chattahoochee is the ultimate circuit breaker.
No rubrics, no bell schedules, no grading backlogs—just a tiny Bavarian village giving us complete permission to step out of 'teacher mode' and completely fill the tank

August isn’t even over and the "back-to-school energy" has already morphed into pure survival mode. Answered 150 questions before lunch? Check. Managing 125 unique personalities daily? Check. Juggling four different lesson plans while pretending your printer didn't just jam for the third time? Double check.
If you are already running on empty, running on iced coffee, and counting down the minutes to the weekend, you are not failing—you’re just a teacher in August.
It’s time to break the cycle of burning out by mid-year. I’m hosting a Teacher Reset Retreat this February—a space designed specifically for educators to unplug, truly rest, and recharge without a single lesson plan in sight.
Drop a 🌿 in the comments or save this post, and stay tuned for more details coming very soon. You can't pour from an empty cup—let’s refill yours.

48 hours of pure quiet. 🌿✨
A little reset at Marriott Hotels & Resorts to clear the mind, sleep past the 6:00 AM alarm, and drink a hot cup of coffee without a single bell ringing.
Self-care isn't optional when you're an educator. Protect your peace first. 🤍
