Parcel processing, automated. 📦

JAS Netherlands has added a new automated parcel processing system at its Amsterdam warehouse, capable of handling up to 2,100 parcels per hour.

The system brings key steps together in one automated process, including scanning, weighing, dimensioning and re-labeling.

The re-labeling capability is particularly useful for parcels that need a new label before entering a different last-mile delivery network. Using machine vision, the system identifies the existing label, determines where the new one needs to go, and guides robotic arms to apply it precisely.

🌟 Volunteer Spotlight: Mario Monterroso

Since joining JAS Spain in 2024, Mario has been part of the team in Algeciras, serving as Customs Broker Supervisor.

Through the Bruni Foundations partnership with the Cultural Association León de Judá, Mario has supported initiatives focused on helping children, families, and people facing challenging circumstances. From creating a place through music that helps them cope with and overcome their periods of cancer treatment to supporting humanitarian efforts in Ceuta and Melilla, these experiences have provided opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others.

For Mario, volunteering with the Bruni Foundation comes from a genuine desire to help people who may be going through a difficult time — offering the same kind of support he would hope to receive from others.

“The most rewarding part is the sincere gratitude of people who have nothing to give in return. Their appreciation is genuine, and knowing that you have made a positive impact in their lives is deeply meaningful.”

Installation is now underway for a Parcel Automation System that will bring together automated scanning, weighing, dimensioning, labeling, sorting, and export preparation in one connected workflow.

Recently, JAS and Pentagon Freight Services came together in Houston to celebrate the next chapter of our journey together.

Hosted at the Pentagon facility, the event was a great opportunity for colleagues to connect in person, celebrate Pentagon’s more than 50 years of experience in energy logistics, and look ahead to the opportunities that come from bringing our teams, expertise, and global capabilities together.
