PLC of the Northeast - Professional Loggers Giving the Northeast’s professional independent logging & forest trucking contractors a voice.

Since 1995, the Professional Logging Contractors (PLC) of the Northeast has been the unified voice for independent logging and trucking professionals. Founded 'by loggers, for loggers,' our board is composed entirely of industry contractors. We don't just represent the industry; we protect the future of logging and the forest economy through aggressive advocacy, specialized certification, and a steadfast commitment to responsible forest management.

Today is National Loggers Day.

On this day, we recognize the men and women who work in the forests of the Northeast and on the road to provide the renewable wood resources we rely on every day.

While we celebrate northeast loggers, we also recognize the challenges facing the industry. For many logging businesses, this year has felt like one hit after another. Rising costs, shrinking markets, and ongoing uncertainty continue to put pressure on the people who do this vital work.

Yet loggers continue to do what they have always done: adapt, persevere, and keep moving forward.
Thank you to the loggers, forest truckers, and forest industry professionals who keep this industry moving.

Happy National Loggers Day.

**PLC Member Alert**

We've received questions about the recent executive order regarding the use of red-dyed diesel on public highways.

At this time, we encourage members to use caution before making any changes to their fuel-use practices. Based on conversations with transportation and law enforcement officials, additional federal guidance is expected, and state laws regarding red-dyed diesel remain in effect unless otherwise directed.

We're working to get answers and will update members as soon as more information becomes available. Stay tuned and keep an eye on your inbox.
