The Masters Transport Ministry

The Masters Transport Ministry Mission: To provide low cost or no cost travel and transportation to disabled persons in the CSRA and to other non-profit groups and organizations.

Margaret and Randal were both born and raised in Bible believing family homes in Pennsylvania. Randal joined the U.S. Army in 1984 and we married in 1985 and continued to serve in the U.S. Army for 22 years. We met a friend during our tour in Hawaii who repeatedly invited us to First Southern Baptist Church, Honolulu, Hawaii. After visiting periodically, we both felt convicted and we were both sav

ed by Grace in April 1992. Since April 1992 we have always been very active in what ever Bible believing church God planted us in. We left Hawaii in October 1992 and while serving in Ft. Lewis, Washington, we met Hank McGovern at Mountain Highway Southern Baptist Church. I learned one important lesson from Hank, our property and belongings aren't really ours, it is all community property that belongs to God's community. I am merely responsible for maintaining it. Over the years we were blessed with two awesome boys who are both serving in the United States Armed Forces. One meteorologist and one communications network specialist, both have professed Christ as their Savior. One is married to one of the best daughter-in-laws in the world and made us proud grand parents of the most beautiful grand daughters ever born (spoken like a true grand parent I'm sure). The second is deployed in the US Army. Randal retired from the U.S. Army in April 2007 and worked for Georgia Regents University in Augusta, Georgia while Margaret works for Sizemore Security also in Augusta, Georgia. Randal felt the burden from the Lord to provide transportation in the past for various groups using God's motor coach for what proved to be very fun and entertaining on every trip we took. Based on his love for Jesus, his servant heart, his joy in driving, his love for traveling the country side, and his desire to serve God's people we felt led to establish this transportation ministry. Founded in October 2011, Randal now serves as CEO full time. The Lord has blessed us with the ability to purchase vehicles and equipment and to maintain them for His use. We are now organized with a nine member board to help direct the growth of this ministry. Although we cannot fund every trip or mission we desire without asking for donations, we were able to finance the purchase of all you see on this site. The cost of maintenance and insurance is high. We seek God's provisions and trust Him each month to keep everything operational. The cost for a group or organization to use any of our services is kept to a minimum. We only ask for a minimum donation to cover fuel costs. Any donations above basic expenses is put back into maintaining and upgrading as the Lord provides. Organizing travel, coordinating cargo shipments, or any other service we can provide is easy. Simply click the mail button above and send us a note. Let us know what your need is and we'll provide you a fuel estimate based on your needs and current fuel prices. We look forward to hearing from you. May God Bless you and keep you.

Greetings ministry partners, family, and friends,
I would like to take a few moments to tell you what God has been doing with The Master’s Transport Ministry from the high volume of transports, current operations, and current needs.
We have been blessed with up to 10 regular volunteer drivers. Although not all drivers are available all the time, we have seen a large increase in the number of available drivers over the past few months. Last week for example we had a total of nine drivers who assisted transporting 23 cancer fighters and six additional persons who must use a wheelchair. Most of those 29 people had multiple appointments on multiple days. It is truly amazing to see God use His ministry in such a way.
A couple weeks ago I was transporting a cancer fighter to her appointment. She explained to me that she almost gave up because transportation was too difficult and too expensive. She then said that her social worker promised to find help. Cancer Support Services and Master’s Transport teamed up and have helped this cancer fighter continue on now for the past few months. She credits that collaboration for saving her life. That is just one example of comments we hear from our passengers on a regular basis. It is truly amazing to see God using His ministry in such a way.
Normally this is the time of year we are gathering sponsors and support for our Courageous Carriage golf tournament fundraiser. This year however, we decided to end the annual golf tournament because it was getting too time-consuming at a time when we are focusing on helping as many people as possible. We will not attempt an actual fundraiser this fall and wait until tomato plant sales in the spring to start fundraising once again.
Our biggest need is prayer for wisdom, guidance, and safety. Another extreme need, is maintenance and maintenance funds. Given that most Americans drive an average of 13,000 miles per year and get a new car every 5 years, we should be purchasing a new car every year. We drive 100,000 to 120,000 miles every year. That is in addition to the many volunteer miles driven by our wonderful team of volunteers. We have one car that is down due to failed fuel injectors that ultimately destroyed the engine when the injectors were replaced (the bad injectors wore the cylinders out and caused the rods the break through the lower engine block). The cost to repair the car is approximately $10,000 with the current market to replace with a used engine or purchase a new engine block and transfer everything else from the old block.
We cherish your support of this vital community resource and the continuing works of God. If you are able to help us meet this need, please use our web site www.masterstransport.org to make a donation or send a check to Master’s Transport, 217 Old Evans Rd, Martinez, GA 30907. Feel free to contact me for any questions or details you may need.

Thank you,

Time to brag on God and community in Pennsylvania. Went in the Quincy Hardware store in Quincy PA to get some chainsaw blades and parts knowing that it is hard to get that stuff in Augusta lately. Walked in the store and an associate asked if he could help. I said yeah " wondering how many chainsaws you can donate to help the hurricane mess in Augusta". I thought about getting a bigger saw because mine is really struggling with the big stuff. Another customer heard me say that and said he would like to help. I got a new larger chainsaw ($500), for blade ($150) and other parts ($150). My bill was ONLY $334!!

Got power back this afternoon. YAY. Some have asked about the garden and greenhouse. Our new neighbors had a fence built a month ago. It took most of the wind. Greenhouse was heavily damaged but. . . We ordered a bigger greenhouse a few months ago and it is still in the box waiting to get put up.
